"Come on, Marigold, don't hesitate to tell us about your private matter," Mandy demanded and smiled playfully at Marigold.
Marigold, on the other hand, regarded her companions with trepidation. "Please respect me and do not press me to reveal information that I do not want to disclose in the first place."
Joyce just frowned. "All right, but please tell us your husband's profession; we're just curious about him. How did you meet him?"
Marigold sighed and then spoke up. She's also considering the appropriate words to use when telling a lie in front of them. "Well, he's just a regular office employee like me; we met during a job interview, and after that we both realized we loved each other, so we decided to marry; is that enough?"
"For sure, that guy is wealthy; Marigold would never marry him that quickly if he wasn't wealthy," Joyce said to set Marigold off.
Marigold, on the other hand, kept her mouth shut and drank a glass of wine instead of fighting back.
