Teddy's persuasion and orders really worked on anyone, including Max. He finally returned to his house. His gaze was cold but stiff. All eyes were on him, including Jade, his girlfriend.
Jade stood up and approached. She hugged him tightly and Max's body, which had been tense before, now he could feel so relieved when he felt Jade's embrace.
"Don't go like that, Max," Jade told him. "I need you to stay beside me."
Max's eyes looked at his family who were watching them. As if knowing that Max needed some privacy, they disappeared quickly.
He immediately replied to Jade's hug "I'm sorry. I can't accept your changes yet. You're changing too ... fast," Max said.
"I'm still human. I haven't changed," Jade said with certainty. She only felt that her way of eating had changed slightly, although she could still taste human food as well. And maybe the power she hadn't thought of earlier pushed Ace by accident.
Jade let go and tilted her head. "You know, even if I change, I'll still love you. I'm still the Jade you know, Max."
Max stroked Jade's hair and smiled at her even though he was thinking ahead, what would happen to Jade after this. "Are you feeling better now? If you are, I'll take you home."
"I'm feeling good now."
They left the house and Jade said goodbye to everyone and thanked them. She and Max then left them with the car that Max was driving.
It's not like it used to be when Max just stayed calm in the car. Of course, he was still tense and not used to the fast changes his girlfriend was going through.
Max becomes even more vengeful to Sherly. He swore in his heart that he would kill Sherly as soon as he met her face to face. He would take her heart without a second thought and trample it right in front of her body later.
His hands gripped the steering wheel of Jade's car tightly, Jade immediately touched his hand and Max began to feel warmth run through his body. He had never felt this before when Jade was still fully human.
"Are you okay?" Jade asked.
"Honestly, I'm not okay, Jade. I was really thinking about you."
"I'll be fine. You don't have to worry. How many times have I told you, Max?"
"You changed because of her. Her poison is in your body. And I failed to kill the poison in your body," said Max regretfully.
Jade chuckled but she wasn't angry or upset. "You know, sometimes I feel like I have to thank Sherly. Why? Because indirectly, she granted my wish to become a vampire, even if it's only half a vampire."
The car screeched as Max pressed the brake pedal. He then looked at Jade with a look that looked displeased.
Jade's breath hitched as soon as she felt the sudden brake with her eyes wide. "Max, why should-"
"Do you realize what you just said? I'm not even happy with your transformation, Jade! Why? Because your father is a vampire hunter!" squealed Max in a snarl.
Jade could barely speak. She was surprised when she saw Max's unusual angry expression. He clearly didn't like her change. Whether it's because of Sherly or indeed he doesn't like that the one he loves becomes a vampire.
Max then closed his eyes, controlling his emotions. Then he looked at Jade who was still silent by his side. "I'm sorry ... I seem to be out of control. I ..." he was at a loss for words. He couldn't continue his speech and chose to continue his journey until Jade's house.
Getting out of the car, Jade immediately snatched the car keys from Max and she just walked in without saying a word to Max. The door of the house even closed violently while Max cursed himself for his mistake.
He then left Jade's house quickly. He walked through the forests with running and anger that enveloped him. Arriving at the edge of the cliff, he looked up at the choppy sea.
He felt the moving waves calm him, just like Jade's touch. His mind was thinking about what he should do with Jade after this. He managed to get his love, but his love turned into a monster, just like him.
"You have to teach her to hold back her urge to drink human blood, Max," Teddy's voice suddenly appeared.
"Are you following me?" Max asked without looking behind him.
"Hmm, not really. Mara and I just happened to have made love around this. You know, making love in the trees is really more exciting and challenging," he said with a laugh.
"Tck!" Max chuckled in annoyance hearing that part. When his sisters and friends can make love, only he has not dared to do that. He was afraid that he couldn't hold himself back when he did it.
"Don't leave her in an emotional state. You know, even though she's only half a vampire, she has the same emotions as us. So you better go back and check on her," Teddy advised her.
Max then turned and looked at him. He noticed his friend's appearance, which looked a little messed up because he had made love to his sister.
"Well, you know, it wouldn't be fair if you had a way of talking that would make us take your advice," Max said irritably.
Teddy laughed. He then threw the blood bag at Max which he caught quickly. "Give it to her. Because I have a feeling that she's not doing well at her house. While the vampire hunter isn't home yet, hurry over there."
Max immediately ran quickly leaving Teddy. Whatever Teddy said, he knew that his friend never lied to him or his members.
When Max arrived at Jade's house, he immediately entered and found Jade in the kitchen, rummaging through the contents of the refrigerator. She looked so chaotic and violent by eating raw food that still smells of blood.
Max's eyes widened in shock. He immediately grabbed his girlfriend's body and looked at her. "Jade!" he cried out loud.
Jade came to her senses when she heard Max's loud cry. She burst into tears and hugged her boyfriend. "W-what happened to me? I'm hungry, Max! I'm so hungry!" she sobbed.
Max snorted and was still cursing Sherly's actions. He then opened the blood bag and gave it to Jade. She immediately accepted it and finished it a second later. She then looked a little more in control than before.
"I'm here, okay? I'm sorry for leaving you. I promise I won't leave you again," Max said, hugging her back.
"I was afraid that Zack would see me in that state," she whispered.
"I'll stay here. Now, clean up the mess you look like. I'll tidy up your kitchen," Max ordered.
Jade looked at him with a weak smile. Then her two fangs appeared in front of Max when she showed him. For Max, the changes have clearly felt very fast.
"Does it hurt?" Max asked her.
"Rather than that, h-how does it feel to remove these fangs?" Jade asked, starting to get worried.
But Max shook his head. "You can't get rid of it. It will disappear and reappear on its own. And to get rid of it, you must take a calm attitude, Jade."
