Axel took a thousand steps when he heard the commotion in Alice's room.
"What is it?" he asked, looking over the doorway. Kimberly, who was being hugged by Anna, looked normal.
Anna immediately came out of the room, holding Kimberly's hand. Her eyes glanced at Axel. Like saying, did I say?
Axel's gaze was directed at Edward, the man responded with a shrug.
Without saying much, Axel followed Anna, who was the first to return to the room.
"Did you ever think that all this time Edward had ulterior motives to destroy our family?" said Anna suddenly, as she had just put Kimberly to sleep.
Axel gaped in disbelief that Anna had the heart to accuse Edward of that. "Keep your voice down, don't let Kimberly wake up," warned Axel who was wearing pajamas.
