The young officer hurried over, not stopping until he reached the two men and handed the telephone to Corvey. It was only then that he seemed to realize there was someone else standing beside Corvey.
His eyes widened as he looked at He Ao beside Corvey, as if he wanted to ask something, but upon seeing Corvey pick up the phone, he clamped his mouth shut.
