In the instant when He Ao's body stiffened, a smile curled at the corner of the man's mouth in the officer's uniform. His body shifted to the side, and with this motion, the scythe that he had swung out turned into a hook. The blade, flashing with electric arcs, sliced towards He Ao's neck.
In that moment, He Ao activated his Super Memory, and a powerful force flooded into his body, quickly alleviating some of his condition, and then he immediately raised his axe to block the incoming scythe.
The sharp blade of the scythe collided with the edge of the axe, jolting He Ao. His whole body was sent flying backward from the impact of the blow.
While in the air, he adjusted his stance and executed a backflip to dissipate some of the force, landing steadily on the ground and stepping back half a step.
Behind him was the huge void left after he had dismantled the alloy door; he had been forced back to his original spot.
