Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: FIRST JOURNEY

Alita kissed her wife and daughter goodbye before she left Reqox again. In order to make things more realistic, Alita had to leave Reqox and took a spaceship to Mes, a star that was a day away from Reqox.

When she arrived there, she didn't book a hotel room but simply made her way to a mountain where she hides and initiated her transfer.

Alita was enveloped by a white light before she disappeared from where she was standing and appeared in an enclosed space. The first thing she noticed was how fresh the air was and how refreshing it was despite being in an enclosed space.

Alita looked around the place she was currently in and realized that she was inside a thatched hut and there was nothing much in it. After checking the place thoroughly, she decided to check outside cautiously since she didn't want to attract any attention.

There was no one outside which was a huge relief to her. Alita checked her phone to see if there was anything she could use while being in this world and the revelation was astounding.

She had been given some clothes to wear and a lotto draw had already been drawn for her even though she didn't recall herself doing that. Luckily the draw brought her something good and earned her five years in a dimensional space.

So, she didn't need to worry about meeting any powerful beings who were capable of sending her to meet her maker.

Alita went outside and began to survey the place she was sent to. She didn't have a single clue as to where she was but she knew that when her five days were up, she will be sent back to her own world.

The place where she was sent to was very huge and it looked to be more of a village as the place stretched far. Alita spent the first day getting to know the place.

After scouring the place, Alita managed to find a house built with bamboo and it was filled with a lot of books. She flipped a few books and was happy to see that she could read the books.

It's just that the contents of the books were simply too much for her and she needed time to read all of them. She wasn't a studious person but whenever she comes across useful knowledge, she didn't mind becoming a bookworm.

Later that night she returned to the thatched hut where she made her resting place as there was a stone bed there. She took out her quilt and spread the bed as she was someone who never neglects her sleep.

As she was hungry after the exploration, she took out the warm lunchbox of food and began to eat with relish. After having her food, she went to bed as she was just so tired.

The next morning after having some steamed buns and tea, she went to the lake and took a bath. After changing her clothes, she went back to the bamboo house to start reading.

She didn't know much about this world and she believed that she will learn something from reading. She decided to read all the books in the house so she needed a lot of concentration for that. She found a stool picked her first book and began to read.

The book she picked up on her first day was more of a historical book and it explained about the world she was currently in. it was more of a diary of the owner of the place and Alita learned a lot from it.

Because the book was a bit big and the contents a lot, Alita spent two days on it before she fully digested everything she read about. With some knowledge about this world, Alita felt more fearful of this world.

According to the book, there were many continents and planes in this world and this immortal came from a higher plane and he created this small world to let the lucky one or destined one inherit some of his good stuff.

Alita of course was very grateful that there was some inheritance as there was no one who didn't like having power. If she has power, Alita will be able to do many things she couldn't do before.

There were many times she got scammed, cheated, and bullied simply because she wasn't strong enough. Even though she knew some self-defense, that wasn't enough to fight people who were stronger than her.

She couldn't even defeat or face those men and women who has mechas to aid them. For her family, she has to be strong and it didn't matter how tough it was going to be. She was going to do it, no matter how much it takes.

In this world, there was spiritual energy that cultivators absorb to get stronger and level up until they become immortals, gods, and goddesses. There were also demon cultivators, spiritual cultivators, and many strange cultivators all around the world.

Beasts also existed and cultivators would usually engage in wars with them, the beasts could be eaten, their meat, bones, and cores were helpful to cultivators and could also be used as pets and companions.

Some planes had mortals and they live like normal human beings and this made Alita happy as she could relate to these mortals as she can be considered to be one.

After dealing with this book, she picked the second book and read it for two more days. Alita repeated the same thing for two weeks before she was tired of reading.

She spent another two weeks exploring this world she couldn't leave no matter what. She was loving the place a lot; the lake was full of strange fish that she really enjoyed grilling on fire and eating them.

Apart from the beautiful lake, there was a stretch of wild grasses and weeds she finally learned that they were herbs. Because she didn't know anything about them, Alita didn't dare touch any of them as she was afraid that she may implicate herself.

So, in order not to be an embarrassment to herself, she threw herself into reading the books again. She didn't believe that she will still be an amateur after finishing all of them.

It's just that Alita underestimated these books, a chore that was supposed to be done in a few months ended up taking her two years to finish.

Looking at the bookshelves she had just finished, Alita felt like a huge battle had been won. It wasn't easy for her to read these books, the main reason why she took long was that she read the book on herbs last and she didn't put it down until she memorized every single herb and its properties.

It wasn't that easy for her at all but it was worth it.
