Cherish Turner turned her head to look at William Griffith, who had already approached the Maserati and opened the door, looking back at her. Cherish had no choice but to walk over to him and get in the car. Once he got in, someone's phone rang again, breaking the silence with an incessant vibration.
"It's your phone!" Cherish whispered a reminder.
William pulled out his phone, hung up again, and added the number to the blacklist. He then glanced at Cherish, slowly moving closer to her. She was startled, and her body tensed up. He only reached over to fasten her seatbelt, securing it for her, "The first thing to do when getting in a car is to buckle up. Remember that, okay?"
"Mm," Cherish nodded, her heartbeat accelerating for a moment.
The car's engine started, and the two vehicles drove out of the parking lot one after the other.
