As William watched Cherish's lingering silhouette moving back and forth in the room, his heart swelled with emotion.
"Didn't you give the ring back to me? Why are you here now? Actually, Cherish, can't you forget about me, can you?" William could hardly control his excitement. Yet, for some reason, his words came out sounding like a businessman's rhetoric.
Cherish felt as if her heart had been shattered in that instant.
