As if he had encountered some fearsome beast, William Griffith suddenly let go and threw the phone to Hailey Griffith.
"Ah!" Hailey shrieked, barely catching it. Holding back her annoyance, she scowled at William before putting the phone to her ear and hurriedly said, "Sister-in-law, it's me."
"Hailey, what happened?" Cherish Turner heard the scream and asked worriedly.
"Nothing, nothing," Hailey said casually.
William stood to the side with a serious face, looking unusually calm as he heard Hailey say next to him, "There's a farewell party for me tonight... yes, can you make it?... That's fine, just come when you can!... Alright then, bye."
After the call, Hailey looked at William meaningfully, "Brother, I've made the call, but now you have to go pick her up."
"It's not very convenient," William muttered.
"What's inconvenient? You're not going to pick her up on foot! You'll drive!" Hailey suddenly had the urge to smash the phone against his head, to knock some sense into him.
