The sky was pitch black, with lightning and thunder flashing across the night sky, the interwoven beams of light terrifying to behold.
Daniel Peacock opened the car door, shielding Cherish Turner with his tall figure as she got in, before getting in the car himself. He handed her a box of tissues without speaking a word, and Cherish softly thanked him, taking it. The car quickly drove away, Cherish looking at the rearview mirror, afraid that he would appear at any given second.
Or maybe, he would not appear again.
The sky was raining, but it seemed as if her heart was going to rain too.
