That morning, around nine o'clock, Cherish Turner was still in her wrinkled skirt, her hair uncombed, having just washed her face. She heard the doorbell ring and thought William might have forgotten his key, so she quickly put down her towel and ran out of the bathroom. As she opened the door, her smile froze and her expression became somewhat unnatural.
Chloe Turner looked gorgeous, carrying a straw bag in her hands, as she smiled and called out, "Miss Turner."
"Chloe." Cherish didn't expect her sister to find the place. She thought that their relationship must be more than casual as this was William Griffith's private residence.
"Is William not home?"
"He's out. Do you want to come in and wait?"
"No, if he comes back, please tell him I'll wait for his call."
