"Oh." Even though she was curious about why he wanted the coin, Cherish Turner still pulled one out and handed it to him.
William Griffith took the coin, his lips curving into a charming smile. With a flick of his finger, the coin shot up into the air, flashing brightly as it caught the light. He stretched out his hand and caught the coin before it hit the ground. Holding the coin tightly in his fist, he said in his deep voice, "If it lands on the flower side, go left. If it lands on the words side, then go right."
Cherish nodded in agreement, offering no objection.
"Which side do you think it will land on?" William asked, his eyebrows narrowing slightly.
Cherish considered for a moment, realizing that most girls would likely choose the flower, and so she responded with a smile, "I guess it's the flower."
William narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze unusually intense as he strangely stated, "I guess it's neither."
Cherish was taken aback as he slowly opened his palm.
