Cherish Turner thought that today was over and that William Griffith probably wouldn't see her again.
Just a moment ago, she was somewhat scared of him.
But every thought of Cherish Turner was wrong. In the evening, just as she was about to take a bath, Mother Goodman knocked on her door.
"Miss, the gentleman is here to see you, he is waiting for you downstairs."
Hearing these words, Cherish's heart skipped a beat. On one hand, she felt that since William Griffith had come to meet her and talk to her, she needed to seize the opportunity to get him to let her go.
Yet on the other hand, she was somewhat anxious, as she didn't know what he was going to say.
"Oh, I'm just taking a bath. I'll be down soon."
After ten minutes, Cherish washed up swiftly. Dressed in clean clothes, she looked a bit better, knowing that she would need to be clearheaded in front of William Griffith.
