William Griffith stopped in his tracks, looking back at her, feeling the hesitation and withdrawal in her eyes. He tightened his grip on Cherish Turner's hand and approached her:
"I said, with Lewis not around, today, it's just the two of us."
The unfathomable look in his eyes collided with Cherish's gaze, bewitching her involuntarily. She knew that there were some things that, for William, if he wanted them, he would have to obtain them, regardless of who might oppose him.
