The corridor fell silent for a time, and after a while, the light in the emergency room finally went out. As the door opened, the doctor pushed Grace Harper out.
The two most respected elders of the Griffith family came over the first. Looking at Grace being brought out, they anxiously asked the doctor:
"How is she? I hope it's nothing serious."
The doctor took off his mask and paused: "For now, the patient is in no major danger. Judging from the head injury, initially it seems to be only a contusion with some internal bleeding. We will know for sure after a thorough check-up once she regains consciousness. As for the blow to her abdomen, it has resulted in a miscarriage and damage to her uterus. This might present problems if she were to try to conceive in the future."
