After the matter was settled, William Griffith exchanged pleasantries with the dean, then returned to the ward to see Cherish Turner.
Sam Turner was asleep now. Cherish stood up, looked at William, and softly said, "Thank you."
"Silly, for things like this in the future, call me right away, understand?" He didn't want her to deal with these things all by herself.
"I thought it was no big deal, so I didn't want to bother you."
"As it turns out, if your brother's problem was neglected any longer, he might have lost the use of his leg. You can't always just judge things by their appearance." He lectured Cherish sternly, and she nodded like an obedient pupil.
Hailey Griffith couldn't bear to watch. "Brother, don't blame Sister-in-law. I caused all this, and I'll take responsibility for Sam's recovery from now on."
Hailey was a straightforward person. She knew she had gone too far when she saw how severe Sam's condition was.
She wasn't the type to dodge responsibility.
