When William Griffith heard his son say this, he had a bit of a headache!
Over the years, Lewis had been raised by him, and the child was very close to him. Everyday, he was the one to accompany the child to sleep. William felt that he did his duty in caring for his son.
However, certain aspects of education were still beyond his reach.
Lewis had never had a mother growing up, and although he never asked about it, William knew that he longed for a mother and wanted to know where his own mother was.
William Griffith spoiled his son very much, but a child without a mother was always lacking. Just like right now, he didn't know how to educate a son who bought himself an inflatable doll.
This guy actually bought himself an inflatable doll. Did he know what it could be used for?
If he had to blame someone, it would be his parents for spoiling Lewis too much. His own mother even gave her Amazon account to Lewis, allowing him to play and buy whatever he wanted.
He just didn't know what his mother would think if she saw an inflatable doll on her shopping list.
"Why didn't you go to school today? Miles Griffith, you're not allowed to skip school anymore!" William changed the subject.
"What's so fun about school? Besides, I already know what the teacher is teaching, so I don't want to go!"
Lewis replied, tugging on the phone cord and pouting his lips.
William held his forehead and sighed on the other end of the phone.
His son had been exceptionally intelligent since he was little, and he didn't know whether to be happy or worried about it.
"What did you do at home today? Did you listen to your grandparents?" Feeling that it wouldn't work to be hard on his son, William decided to use a more roundabout approach.
"Of course! Dad, I made grandpa so happy today. But grandpa said that the happiest thing would be if you found a wife first!"
"..." It seemed like his marriage was now the biggest concern for the entire Griffith family!
"I was thinking, since you've been looking for a wife for so many years and it hasn't happened yet, I decided to buy a doll to be your wife!"
His dad was so picky, who knew what kind of woman he liked?
The doll looked pretty, was as tall as a real person, and having it at home would be fun!
But William was about to lose his mind on this end. He thought that his precious son probably didn't know what inflatable dolls were really for...
"Is it because your classmates are too stupid?" This guy, there must be more complicated reasons than that!
Sure enough, the little guy didn't expect his dad to suddenly ask this question and was caught off guard.
When he thought about what happened at school, Lewis' mood turned sour!
"What happened?" When he didn't hear his son's answer, William was somewhat surprised.
How come this kid, who was usually so talkative, wasn't answering now?
"Anyway, I just don't want to go!"
This time, there was a school event, a garden party, where everyone's parents were attending. He didn't have a mother, so why would he participate? Should he bring his grandparents instead of his dad and mom?
That would be too ridiculous!
"If you don't tell me, I'll call your teacher."
"Hey, come on, Dad, why do you always like to report things to my teacher?"
This was not befitting of your CEO status!
"Are you going to say it or not?"
"Fine, fine, I'll say it. The school is organizing a garden party, and they want both parents to attend. If you can find a wife quickly to be my mom, then I'll go!"
