Cherish Turner received a call from William Griffith just as she arrived at the doorstep of her home.
"Hello."
"It's me." William Griffith's voice still sounded a bit weak, but it seemed like his health had improved quite a bit.
"I know."
If he could call her, then he should be fine.
For a moment, neither of them said anything. The night wind still blew, and Cherish stood in the cold breeze but did not feel cold, with an indescribable feeling.
Julian Brown stood there, looking at William Griffith and not knowing whether he should be worried or happy for him.
"When are you coming to see me?" William Griffith suddenly asked, but Cherish had no idea how to respond.
Should she visit him? After all, they didn't have any real relationship, but... at least they were friends, having met each other.
But Cherish immediately responded, "I'll come first thing in the morning tomorrow!"
Her instinctive response seemed strange even to her. Why did she promise to visit him?
