From Haicheng to Japan, and then back from Japan to Haicheng, the two days and one night felt as long as a century for Cherish Turner. Dragging her heavy steps back home, Elijah Butler was taking a shower in the apartment. Hearing the door close, Elijah immediately rushed out to see what happened and saw Cherish changing her shoes at the entrance, shouting, "Cherish, you're back!"
"Yeah."
"Your mom is back, and you keep making a fuss!" Elijah walked to the living room while drying his hair, and Cherish put down her things and took out a hairdryer.
"Cherish, can you blow dry my hair?" Elijah immediately let go and lay down on the couch, watching TV.
The hairdryer hummed as Cherish combed through Elijah's hair.
A sudden interview about Sam Turner appeared on the TV. After Sam got his doctorate, he became very successful, working for several companies, but never committing to any of them.
