"Auntie Cherish, can Lewis sleep with you today?" The little guy's tear-filled eyes looked so pitiful, his tiny paws gripped tightly onto Cherish Turner's leg, never letting go. The hopeful look in his eyes was heartrendingly poignant for Cherish.
Upon reflecting on the words about Lewis's mother that William Griffith muttered in his drunken stupor, Cherish felt that Lewis was extremely pitiful.
How could that woman abandon her own child like that? Or had she forgotten about him?
Cherish picked up Lewis, holding him tightly in her arms and wiped his tears away. The little guy's mood began to improve a little.
"Where's my brother?" Hailey Griffith asked Thomas Harrison.
"The boss, he…" Thomas stammered, unable to articulate clearly.
"I can't believe my brother left my nephew alone at Deep Wave Mansion. He's really careless; if my grandmother finds out, she'll never let him take care of a child again!"
