Sachiko and I crossed the road, and the Museum of Science and Technology gradually emerged from behind the trees. Not only did it sound more interesting than the Museum of Modern Arts, but the building also looked ever-so-slightly more appealing with a pattern of star-shaped holes on the walls.
"You like science a lot, huh?" asked Sachiko.
I answered, "Not that much. Why?"
"You're smiling again. You stopped smiling just as we stepped into the Museum of Modern Arts."
"Oh, yeah. I suck at hiding my emotions. You must've noticed a while ago."
"That's a shame. Your smile is pretty; you should try to smile more often."
The burning cheeks distracted my brain from thinking of a response. She stared at me and opened her mouth after I didn't say anything, but no words came out. Only then did she look away from me as her cheeks were painted red too.
"I didn't mean it like that," she said, "though I guess it still applies."
