Forest of Shinano, Yae Village
"..." 「Yae Sakura」
In a secluded village hidden deep within the forbidden forest, Yae Sakura prepared herself in the quiet of her home. Kneeling before an altar adorned with sacred objects—a katana, a mask, and other ceremonial items—she remained perfectly still, her eyes closed in deep focus.
Her tranquil composure stood in sharp contrast to the lively chatter of the villagers outside. They continued to talk animatedly about the events that had occurred near Yae Sakura's home, their voices carrying tension through the cool evening air.
But the bunny eared girl paid them no mind.
To her, such distractions were already part of a world she had cast aside.
"This is SAKURA, requesting permission to head toward Monolith 17 as reinforcements... Understood. No, there's no need to send additional personnel. I'll be enough." 「Yae Sakura」
The frilly outfit and skirt had been replaced.
Her sword and the traditional miko's ceremonial garb were exchanged for something entirely different.
Her priestess's garb had been changed into a battlesuit—one devoid of any trace of friendly and cuteness. It exuded only resolve and the weight of a purpose that had shifted, reflected in the way she now wielded her blade.
Even her once gentle, sisterly demeanor had faded, replaced by the cold, unyielding gaze of a silent blade—one forged solely to fulfill her mission. All of this had been brought about by the disappearance of her little sister.
"Just wait for me, Rin." 「Yae Sakura」

『PoV of Nanekluh ref Rednialsig』
In this world, countless mysteries remain undiscovered—some vague and intangible, others concrete and real, each unique in its nature. But knowing about some of these... things doesn't mean I understand everything, as if I were an omniscient Akashic Record.
In truth, I'm just slightly more knowledgeable than others. More than you, perhaps, but less than her—the Guardian of this world. Her name is Moriarty, and it's not 'THAT' Moriarty so please be at ease.
She might call us the creators of this realm, yet all we did was wish for it to exist.
In its creation, the Will of the World—or, in other words, the world itself—took record of our desires. It listened, merging all of them into a single vision and shaping it into what it is today.
This city, these skies, even this land—we were the ones who wished for them. But your fate, your days, and your choices... those were never part of our intentions. We never envisioned things in such detail for events to unfold this way.
Because, from the very beginning, all we wanted was to have fun.
Indeed, your world... was created for a reason as trivial and insignificant as that.
'A glowing feathers.'
'A red fairy.'
'Jingwei.'
I dislike lying and being lied to, but that doesn't mean I'm incapable of it. This side of me, the one I show you now, is merely a reflection of my triviality and insignificance.
Hence, my apologies... we could hardly be called creators or beings worthy of reverence. In truth, we are far beneath true divinity—little more than remnants, ghosts of the past clinging to existence.
So it's understandable for you to harbor such anger.
You might feel compelled to destroy us—or to free this world from our presence—but please, don't. Such thoughts are far too rash. Besides, you wouldn't be able to make such a choice to be real even if you tried.
'12th flame chaser.'
'Holder of the 8th divine key.'
'Hua.'
So, that's how it is? Haha, the thought of immediately casting me as the villain—though slightly off the mark—isn't exactly a wrong choice. We are not evil, but goodness is not something we hand out freely either.
From the details I've shared, it could be inferred that we are, in some way, responsible for both the chaos and the hope in this world, even if indirectly. Perhaps with our deaths—let me emphasize, perhaps—one of those might disappear.
Chaos or hope, I mean.
Is that what you're thinking?
Even though you in this world are not the one I know, I am always impressed by how your thoughts remain so similar in every world, no matter what.
Marvelous. With this, the conditions to seal our agreement remain intact. That's why regardless of where or when, I will put this oath to come and stand by your side. With my presence, no harm shall touch even a single strand of your hair.
'Fuka.'
'Fu Hua.'
'Class Monitor.'
Hmm? Don't look so surprised. Having someone as important and persistent as me does come with its own advantages, doesn't it? Besides... I'm merely repaying a debt, just as you once did for me in the past—the past I have already destroyed.
Even though you are not the Fuka-san I once knew, please allow me to say this to you, Fuka-san... I'm truly sorry. And I'm incredibly happy to have met you again. It warms my heart to see you're still as modest as ever—whether it's your demeanor... or even your chest.
I am still alive to this day, carrying with me the teachings and guidance you entrusted to me. No matter how long it takes, I'll endure—so that I can become someone worthy of your wisdom.
The duty you gave me feels like a curse that will never fade.
When I declared myself ready to bear this burden, you warned me it would be heavy—and you were right. Yet I was stubborn, and in the end, I've managed to carry it out up to this very moment.
'Herrscher of flat.'
'The hottest thing there is.'
'Senti's/Shiki-chan's mother.'
Your fist has always come to my aid, from the very beginning to the very end, and it has always been dazzling in my eyes. Never broken, never turned away. It always shone brilliantly, facing forward... just like your life.
When I was a child, I used to say that if I grew up, I wanted to be the kind of person I needed when I was young. You know who I want to be, don't you, Fuka-san?
In the world filled with cruelty and depravity of numerous deed, you stick to your own path, which is laughable... yet to me, it's beautiful. Fuka-san, you're beautiful... you're beautiful enough for me to fall in love with.
...
That's why I'll keep burning with life.
I'll not allow your last remaining radiance to be extinguished.
No matter what.
...
Haha... ahahaha...
Ahahaha... thank you for hearing this elegy of mine, Fuka-san of this world. I'm very sorry for taking a lot of your time for my own selfishness.
To be honest, it truly makes me happy to meet another variant of Fuka-san like this. It's just that I wasn't prepared enough and only had a few words ready for this encounter. If only I had a little more time, I could've written a song for you!
Eh? You don't need that? Ahaha, alright, that's a bit excessive. But please understand, your presence, Fuka-san, really carried a huge burden for me. Please live in a way that doesn't bring shame to your own life.
Hmm? You don't know how? Haha, don't worry. There are people around you who will guide you. All it takes is whether you want to walk with them or not.
Even though the world we hoped for may not be beautiful and is filled with so much suffering, the hope for goodness and happiness, which became its foundation, will always remain strong and never fade.
That's why, Fuka-san, stay strong!
I'm rooting for you!
Now then, enough with all of this nonsense of mine. You'll be creeped out the more you heard it. So just let me show you the proof to fill those empty words— my determination, the determination of the Fool.

Monolith No. 17, the Summit
The situation had returned to high alert.
A sudden explosion thundered in the distance, and the tremors rippled through the summit of the colossal construct. Instinctively, they turned to the source of the disturbance, their gazes locking on a gigantic figure emerging from beyond an optical veil.
What had seemed like an empty horizon moments ago now revealed itself to be a deception.
From behind the hovering drone, the robotic colossus emerged—a monstrous amalgamation of steel and terror, resembling a mobile fortress forged for destruction.
Its gargantuan frame loomed over the landscape, casting an oppressive shadow that swallowed everything beneath its grotesque, grinding mechanisms.
Though it didn't rival the towering height of the Monolith itself, its immense size and overwhelming mass made even the ancient lizard of legend seem trivial by comparison.
As it loomed closer, its shadow engulfed the crumbling ruins of nearby buildings, like a crab crawling through scattered Legos. The sheer absurdity of the sight planted the same unsettling question in almost everyone's mind...
"That is also Thomas?" 「Private Hua」
"Oh, so you don't know much about that one? That's probably for the best. What you're seeing over there is another version of Thomas—a Decadence-type sentry with self-developing AI. It was originally built to guard the outer perimeters... back in the day." 「Major Himeko」
With a faint smirk, the Major attempts to mask the unease flickering in her gaze.
Major Himeko also wanted to point out the intriguing fact that the number of Decadence-types matched exactly with the Monoliths surrounding the city. However, she decided against sharing this unsettling detail.
One was already enough to send shivers down anyone's spine, let alone more.
"Was that explosion from... that creepy... robot?"「Yae Rin」
"That drone-type can't cause an explosion that large—it's designed for reconnaissance and surveillance. But why..." Major Himeko trailed off, her gaze shifting to the girl sitting on the floor.
There, she saw the two of them still flirting carelessly, completely oblivious to the danger around them. One of them even pinched the other's cheek playfully, despite Himeko's judgmental stare at him.
"Sigh... there are too many strange factors that could explain why that robot is attacking us. Can you give me one, Hua?" Major Himeko asked, her tone sharp.
"Isn't it because of them?" Private Hua responded, her gaze shifting toward the passengers of the Millennium Falcon. "If that machine was built to protect the surrounding area, there's no other explanation."
It was a reasonable answer, but at the same time, Private Hua kept another possibility to herself, still sorting through the fragments of information she had received from that man.
"I do hope to give you good mark, but... you're a little bit wrong with that." 「Major Himeko」
Major Himeko did the same as well, she quietly mulling over her thoughts and concerns.
And just as the two soldiers continued conversing with each other, the two Thomas units seemed to be doing something similar. That Decadence and Drone unit... they're also communicating with each other.
A strange distortion flickered between the two units, accompanied by electric surges jumping back and forth. It seems, their interaction occurred in a way unnoticed by the humans watching.
"Then what are they now?! Stop talking in a way I can't understand!" 「Higokumaru」
"Thanks to their smartass AI, those machines developed their own egos and self-esteem. Kind of a Hive-Mind. Before they became an additional threat, a group of scientists decided to deactivate the units and dispose of them... after they're destroyed, of course." 「Major Himeko」
"...Does that mean this unit should've been destroyed? Along with many others like it?" Private Hua asked, her gaze shifting to the towering machine in the distance.
"Obviously. Every single one of them was scrapped, discarded, and erased from existence. This decision was made back when I was still a researcher in MOTH. Naturally... you shouldn't have had the chance to know anything about it, Private." 「Major Himeko」
"That's..." Private Hua hesitated.
"Which exactly what I'm trying to figure out," Himeko cut in, her eyes narrowing. "Starting with how you know about that robot, why it's standing here, and what I should do with the rest of you."
Her words carried a weight of distrust, but before any answers came, focus shifted back to the two Thomas units. Where arcs of electricity continued to jump between them has ceased abruptly.
Everyone soon noticed as the Thomas drone began to retreat without warning, leaving only the Decadence unit behind, standing motionless yet brimming with an ominous silence.
(Thomas the Tank engine theme-playing in the background)
However, the BGM eerily persisted in the background despite that.
"Hua, tell me... are you involved in the return of that robot?" Major Himeko's gaze sharpened.
For a moment, doubt flickered across the young Private's face, but it didn't linger long. Hua knew exactly what needed to be done—and what must never be allowed to happen here and now.
It was a peculiar trait, one that always seemed to define the enigmatic figure known as "Hua."
"What's wrong?" 「Major Himeko」
Since childhood, Hua had been taught to first become someone who could help herself before helping others. Being a guiding light for those in need was admirable, but she needed to learn how to be her own source of light first.
To be unwavering in her choices and capable of bringing good into others' lives was a noble aspiration, but it came with a weight far heavier than most could bear.
For that reason, her parents had always reminded her:
'Be someone who can carry your own burdens before taking on those of others. You're a good girl who always want to help those in need. But try to also be a friend, Hua. We're most worried about this part of you.'
From her early days with her parents to her life in a humble family that wasn't widely known in the world, Hua had always tried to live up to the ideals instilled in her. She strived for perfection.
Her perfection.
Despite sometimes, she felt like a lost baby bird, struggling to find her way through a storm.
"I apologize, Major. But as someone who knows the truth, I have a responsibility to bear this burden." 「Private Hua」
"What do you mean, Hua?!" 「Major Himeko」
"He has business with me. Therefore, I will handle this myself," Private Hua replied firmly.
Before the red-haired woman could protest any further, Hua quickly grabbed both of her wrists, immobilizing her with a single arm.
A glowing feather appeared in the palm of her other hand. It was a Feather, a tool in their world capable of manipulating and altering the consciousness of others.
A Divine key with power beyond human limits.
"The time you've given me will never be forgotten. That's why I'll do this as quickly as possible. You will never remember me… just like before," Private Hua said, her voice cold and resolute.
"A-Are you... why are you so strong?!" 「Major Himeko」
The Feather in Hua's hand glowed, its light not blinding but shimmering softly
The light within Major Himeko's vision began to fade, showing the effect of the Feather taking hold. At the same time, Yae Rin and Higokumaru exhibited the same signs from their eyes.
But just before the Feather could fully alter their minds, Als, who had been quietly observing the scene and Hua's actions, quickly intervened. He reached out and gently tapped the shoulder of the glasses girl.
"As expected... a choice fitting for Fuka-san. So, after this, are you going to fight all those robots alone, and then continue your mission?" 「Als」
"...From our previous conversation, I always felt like you knew me better than I knew myself. Then why trying to stop me? Isn't this the action you wanted to see from your 'Fuka-san'?" 「Hua」
The man chuckled upon hearing her words.
"From your previous... heartfelt words, I can sense so many feelings you've kept hidden for me in another world. If that's the case... if you want to reunite with the person you long for, let me help you." 「Hua」
The man's laughter grew even louder at her words, as if he found the situation amusing.
"Well, since we both know how Fenghuang Down works, does that mean you're willing to be implanted with the memory of my 'Fuka-san'? Is that what you're asking of me? But if that's done... the version of you in this world will truly cease to exist, you know?" 「Als」
Unlike the "Fuka-san" from another world, the version of her in this world is nothing more than a young girl who has only lived a few short years. Clearly, the "Fuka-san" in this world cannot compare to the one he knows.
The glasses girl also aware of what the man was thinking.
"...I will do what you want, but in return, please protect this city. If that request is too heavy, then at least, please don't disturb its peace for many years to come. Do we have a deal?" 「Hua」
Hearing her words, which seemed to know exactly what he desired, Als couldn't help but laugh even harder. It sounded like a good idea indeed. By fulfilling the wishes of this Persona, Hua would fulfill the desires of a Proxy—the creator and regulator of the world itself.
And if she succeeded in her negotiation with this being that somehow can be called as the representation of "God," she might be securing the future not only for Soukai City but perhaps for the entire world.
It do sounds like a good jokes.
Yet amidst the humor, Major Himeko had regained her senses. Soon after, both Yae Rin and Higokumaru also returned to consciousness, though they still appeared disoriented.
"I see. This is why I always felt something was off in my head," Major Himeko spoke calmly, but her disappointment was unmistakable. "I never thought that one of my own subordinates would be the one influencing me with their abilities."
Her gaze hardened, a mix of concern and disbelief settling in as she turned to Hua.
"Hua, who are you really?" 「Major Himeko」
"...I'm just someone who wants to make this world a better place, the same as you, Major. It's just that the methods I've been given... they may not sit well with something within me." 「Hua」
Clenching her fist, Hua felt the weight of everything she had taken and everything she had given.
One day, she knew, she would have to bear it all—the good, the bad, and the irreparable. Hua, in this world, was far from the person Major Himeko believed her to be. She was neither as pure nor as innocent as she seemed.
The truths she carried were heavy, and the secrets she kept, even heavier.
"Are you alright—" 「Major Himeko」
Unfortunately out of sudden, a tremor shook the ground, cutting her off.
"That thing!!! Major, please hurry and get everyone out of here! I'll do my best to buy you some time! And you, do we have a deal?!" 「Private Hua」
"Hmm... let me think about it..." 「Als」
Before their negotiation could reach its conclusion, their attention snapped to the towering Thomas Decadence Unit. Its massive, grotesque form shuddered as if awakening, its mechanical joints trembled with life.
With legs resembling those of a gargantuan crab, the Abomination Engine stepped forward, each movement creating massive ripples in the waters that separated the Monolith from the desolate lands beyond.
The sea churned violently with every step the colossal machine took, its massive legs creating waves as it advanced. Private Hua's face showing more urgency, but Major Himeko wasn't concerned with Hua's plea.
"What the hell were you thinking, stupid girl?! Activate the Defense Mechanism of Monolith No. 17! All weapons, fire on that machine before this place gets within its firing range!" 「Major Himeko」
Following her orders, a deep metallic transformation echoed from below.
The Monolith trembled violently, its colossal frame trembled as its surface rippled and morphed with eerie precision. It was almost like watching a colossal Transformer in action, its body of steel and metal reshaping itself into an imposing arsenal of weaponry
Segments detached, reassembled, and reformed into countless small cubes of swirling black metal. Each cube pulsed faintly, a concentrated vessel of energy and firepower, ready to unleash devastation upon any foe.
From the central upper section to its pinnacle, the structure began to transform into a massive long-range turret. However, not every part of the Monolith was crafted for attack.
While the upper sections evolved into weapons in their purest form, the mid-to-lower sections displayed a distinct pattern of movement. Unlike the chaotic swirling above, the cubes here shifted "slowly", opening and rearranging themselves in a rather simple sequence.
Rather than transforming into weaponry, these lower sections functioned as defensive mechanisms and structural supports, releasing layers of protective reinforcements stored deep within the Monolith's core.
Additionally, they strengthened the base of the structure, fortifying it against any potential assaults from below. This... was the defense system Major Himeko had referred to earlier.
"Yae Rin, can you and Higokumaru go hide behind that spaceship?" 「Als」
"Y-Yes... is it fine over here?" Yae Rin stammered as she moved hesitantly.
"Perfect," Als nodded. His gaze then shifted. "As for Moriarty... please use this body as your shield."
[Are you sure?]
In an instant, the Monolith's weapons locked onto their target.
"Don't worry, I'm the strongest after all... among Zei's Persona that is, haha." 「Als」
A torrent of firepower erupted, unleashing many ammunition rained down like a storm, along with energy beams slicing through the air with searing intensity, and missiles streaking toward their mark with devastating precision.
The explosions lit up the sky like destructive fireworks, sending shockwaves through the air as they struck the massive machine. For a moment, the air was thick with smoke and debris, the ground quaking beneath the intensity of the blasts.
But as the smoke began to dissipate, the Abomination Engine stood unfazed.
Despite the full force of Monolith's defenses, the machine seemed to remain 100% in HP. To their growing realization, a shimmering barrier now became visible, surrounding the front of Thomas, protecting it from the onslaught.
"Barrier?! ...Now that's another thing I don't know about. I'm starting to hate surprises even more." 「Major Himeko」
"However, it seems that the attack wasn't entirely in vain." 「Private Hua」
Major Himeko paused, her gaze narrowing as she scrutinized the defensive field. "Yeah... it seems the barrier isn't perfect. It's not completely impenetrable."
She focused on the subtle ripples distorting the barrier's surface, evidence that the Monolith's attack had taken its toll. While the Abomination Engine itself remained unscathed, its shield was clearly under strain.
The barrier that surrounded Thomas was a hexagonal, transparent orange field. Upon closer inspection, cracks began to appear across its surface—small fractures that betrayed the limits of its power.
So despite being 100% in Health, it's already around 80% in Energy, maybe?
As he turned to glance back, he spoke casually, addressing the girl standing quietly behind him. His tone was light, yet the questions he posed seemed to carry weight, their context understood only by the two of them.
"Huh, AT Field... you mentioned that Thomas is a Mid-Boss, right? But isn't this a bit too strong? Who is the World Initiator that will face this Boss in the future? Or like... who's the MC that'll fight that thing?" 「Als」
[From what I know through the Will of the World itself, the World Initiator is Houraiji Kyuusyou, along with her partner Bronie. They will play a significant role in handling the Catastrophe Thomas in the future.]
"Haha, so Kyuusyou is here too? As expected from the Savior. But Bronie... how does someone like her— I mean what's her background in here? Could there be something like a Bubble Universe or something else at play?" 「Als」
Moriarty paused for a moment, closing her eyes.
[Right now, the Will of the World is creating its branches, it's still expanding... but it'll take time before more leaves grows. As for Bronie... let's just say she will be your granddaughter after you marry Agent Bronya in the future.]
"...Oh." Als responded, his face turning pale at the mention of grandchildren and marriage at the same time. His unease deepened as he saw Moriarty's mood shift back into a melancholic state.
[I'll erase this branch, that way neither of you will ever marry each other.]
"I-I don't mind it, but... the idea that you can erase the future so easily with a snap of your fingers is kind of terrifying. A-ah, haha. So... will Bronie's existence also be erased as a result?" 「Als」
The timeless girl shook her head, her expression unchanging.
[No. Even though the reason for her creation in the future has been severed, her existence here now solidifies her place. The Will of the World still hasn't fully processed all the memories that Machi provided, so it's possible there will be recalibrations later.]
"That sounds convenient. Plausibility and recalibrations... haha. Is there some other way to fix that without waiting? Not that I'm planning to do it, just pure curiosity." 「Als」
[...If you have a child with her... another "Bronie" will emerge in the future, serving as the link in the time loop that's happening now. The Bronie from this time will remain dormant until the right moment, when she'll meet her descendant who will help her repeat the cycle.]
Als's face paled once again at this revelation.
[But I'll erase that branch too.]
"You're going that far just for him, huh?" 「Als」
[Of course... with this much power in my hands, and my determination, I will prove it to him.]
"Determination... haha, that's interesting," Als chuckled darkly. "But then, if you can do that much for him, why not do the same for Theresa? You could, right? Erase their bond so they were never in the same bed together at all?"
Leaning back against his posture, the timeless girl murmured softly.
[That... I also wonder why...]
As they remained caught in the moment, Als and Moriarty's attention was abruptly pulled away by an explosion from above. The urgent voices of the soldiers called out, urging them to quickly escort Yae Rin and Higokumaru to safety.
But another unsettling sight unfolded before them.
Not only was the Thomas Decadence Unit closing in, but the Thomas Drone units, which had previously been thought to have retreated, reappeared in even greater numbers than before.
These car-sized drones proved to be incredibly difficult to target, easily dodging the Monolith's defense fire. They managed to close the distance despite the efforts of the Monolith's defense system, only to be destroyed by the unique barrier protecting the structure.
"Monolith's field is affecting them... It might be the Honkai behind all of this. Damn... Why did they say only one reinforcements would come!? And why the hell all of you still here?! Hua! Take all of them off this place!" 「Major Himeko」
"No, Major! It should be me who stays behind!" 「Private Hua」
"This isn't the time for headstrong decisions, soldier! Do you even know who outranks you here!? Follow orders and retreat! You're going to live! And despite who you really are, I'm not letting one of my subordinates die in a place like this." 「Major Himeko」
"..." 「Private Hua」
She stood still, her emotions torn, guilt weighing heavily on her heart.
The girl clenched her fists again, a familiar surge of frustration rising inside her.
Her gaze briefly shifted towards the man who had been quietly watching her, as though waiting for some sign. In that moment, Hua found herself at another crossroads in her life, caught between duty and the overwhelming feeling of responsibility for those around her.
Unfortunately, Thomas didn't care about any of it.
As the situation dragged on and their attention was split, Thomas, using his strategic intellect, began deploying his drones in various formations and tactics. They launched coordinated assaults, utilizing cannon boosts and layered attacks to reach the pinnacle of the Monolith.
In the end, one of the drones, despite being severely damaged and barely holding together, managed to reach the top. Its body was almost destroyed, but it still had one last move left.
A self-destruct...
"Damn it—!" 「Major Himeko」
Positioned near Major Himeko, she barely had time to react before the drone detonated. The explosion was instantaneous, unfolding in the blink of an eye.
The sheer destructive force, equivalent to 500 pounds of TNT, sent shockwaves ripping through the air. Thick smoke billowed out, cloaking the battlefield in a dense, suffocating fog that obscured everything from view.
"Major!? Answer me if you can!" 「Private Hua」
But from the looks of it after those smokes disperse... Himeko is just fine. From all appearances, she was unharmed, though the Major's expression shifted between confusion and gratitude.
"—Huh? What... I'm still fine? And you... what're you doing protecting me like that?" 「Major Himeko」
"Do receive my apologies, I'm not someone who'll let someone die that easy. But enough about me—there's something far more interesting to discuss—like that giant engine over there," his tone was light, as if the explosion had been nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
It was only then that Major Himeko realized what had happened. Without her noticing, Als had moved to her side moments before the explosion. His presence had absorbed the brunt of the devastating blast.
Despite the drone's power of self-destruct, capable of leveling buildings and killing anyone within a 100-yard radius, Als' intervention ensured that everything—and everyone—near him remained unscathed.
"COUGH! COUGH! Why does smoke keep appearing everywhere?!" 「Higokumaru」
"Hey, Higokumaru... what is that thing around Onii-san?" 「Yae Rin」
Some of them could also see a small, spherical object shimmered faintly that orbiting around him.
"I think you should fix your choice of words." 「Major Himeko」
"Glad to see you're still in the mood for banter. So, what do you think? Teamwork? Tag team? Or maybe a trio?" Als offered with an easy grin, and also a helping hand to grab on.
"Duh, what's the difference? And how the hell did you block that explosion? Don't tell me you used your fist or something," Major Himeko shot back, casting a questioning glance toward Private Hua.
"...He used his kick, to be precise" 「Private Hua」
"Doesn't make much of a difference." 「Major Himeko」
After weighing the outcomes of their situation, the red-haired woman firmly grabbed Als' hand, her grip strong and unyielding. Leaning in closer, she also whispered a sharp yet meaningful reminder to him.
"Is it about Theresa again? I thought I already told you..." 「Als」
"So you're still thinking about her, aren't you?" 「Major Himeko」
"It's hard to forget about Theresa when you keep reminding me about her." 「Als」
"...Fine. I suppose I'm just pushing too hard into other people's relationships when I've never had a partner myself. Anyway, what's the plan now...?" Major Himeko trailed off, her words cut short as the battle intensified.
Thomas's assault showed no signs of stopping.
Another wave of drones surged forward, mimicking the previous successful patterns to close the distance. On top of that, Thomas unleashed a barrage of cannon fire and a devastating stream from his main cannon, his attacks growing more relentless and precise.
Locking eyes for a brief moment, Als and Major Himeko exchanged a silent agreement before bolting toward the Millennium Falcon. The red haired woman also didn't leave Private Hua behind, she firmly grabbing her junior's arm and pulling her along as they sprinted toward the ship.
"Huh?" 「Private Hua」
"Get in the ship, Hua! We're going to fly this thing!"「Major Himeko」
"...Huh—I mean, yes! But do you even know how to fly this, Major?" 「Private Hua」
"Hey, Pilot! Get your bum over here!" Major Himeko shouted toward the cockpit, her tone leaving no room for excuses as even now Thomas still trying to attack them by using artilleries and drone units.
Meanwhile, Als moved with swift precision, effortlessly scooping up Yae Rin and Moriarty.
His movements were seamless, radiating a calm confidence as if the dire situation were merely a passing inconvenience. After securing them both, he paused to offer a quick explanation.
"If things get dangerous, don't stay afar from Moriarty, okay?" Als said, gently setting Yae Rin down.
"Onii-san, where're you going?" 「Yae Rin」
"I'm going with them to handle those things. It'll get even worse if they breach this place," Als replied, glancing back at Moriarty. His voice softened. "This'll be the last time, so please take care of them again, Moriarty."
[Your last? Are you sure you want to end it this way?]
"I... live in an era where goodbyes are a luxury," Als admitted, his voice steady but tinged with melancholy. "So even a farewell like this with three of you, feels precious to me. But as I said... I want this moment with her."
Clasping Moriarty's hands in his own, Als met her gaze with unflinching sincerity.
"Let me fight on her side, and my everything will be yours." 「Als」
His eyes, which once seemed to be nothing more than void and reflective mirror of the world around him, now held a profound depth, revealing his true self—raw, genuine, and resolute.
It was the same look Moriarty had seen when he rested his head on her lap, a moment that unveiled his selfishness. In this instant, Moriarty could sense the real Als, stripped of the layers he wore to shield himself from the world.
[It's alright... I understand it. Be careful out there.]
"Thank you, dear lovely Guardian of this World," Als said, his voice steady, before his lips lightly brushed against Moriarty's cheek. "Take care of my next friend okay? Sengo is a bit grumpy, but you'll shocked by how nice he is."
He cupped his hands before her, offering a meaningful gesture of farewell and respect—an acknowledgment of the connection they shared and a silent promise to return.
[Hmph...]
Without another word, Als turned and immediately sprang into action. His movements were fluid and precise as he dispatched the drones that had breached the danger zone.
Landing much graceful yet forceful sweep of his limbs, he used his hands and feet as leverage in the air, effortlessly fending off the drones, as he made his way toward the entrance of the Millennium Falcon.
"Himeko-san! I take we're not going be taken down by Monolith's defense system right?" 「Als」
"Just hop on! I'll take care of it." 「Major Himeko」
Within moments, Als was at the door, and with a powerful push, the hatch closed. The ship roared to life as it took to the sky, ascending quickly into the atmosphere, carrying the battlefield into the vast expanse of space.
"...Moriarty nee-san, why did Machi-oniisan's words sound like a goodbye?" 「Yae Rin」
"Well, he probably thinks he might not make it out of this fight alive. He's up against something that big, after all," Higokumaru answered, her tone casual, with giving zero concern in her eyes.
[No... he will return.]
"But... he sounded like he was saying goodbye for real, with... that kiss and martial arts style greetings stuff," Yae Rin said, her voice heavy with doubt. "He's going to be okay, right?"
Moriarty remained silent for a moment, her gaze distant as if contemplating something far beyond her reach.
[He will come back, he always does.]
"That sounds... terrifying..." 「Higokumaru」
[His determination... will always make him fine.

Soukai City, St. Freya Academy
At St. Freya Academy, there stood a clock tower.
The clock indicated it was time for the students to head home, yet a few lingered.
Their reasons varied—some stayed because they lived in the dormitories, others had group activities in shared spaces, and a handful had... more peculiar excuses, like falling asleep in the bathroom.
"Now your darkest secret will be mine~" 「Bronie」
As for Bronie, her reason was far more unique: she wasn't stalking—oh no, of course not—but diligently gathering intel from every corner of the academy on the very first day.
"First day as a high schooler at this academy... Heh, for me, it's basically New Game Plus(+). Now then, let's see what I can uncover here..." Bronie muttered to herself.
Much like Bronya, the girl named Bronie shared similar characteristics.
She used a drone, had gray hair, and possessed intelligence well above average. However, compared to the current Bronya, Bronie was more like a "mini" version of her.
From her shorter height to her modest chest, her temperament, and even her distinctive twin curly gray hair with streaks of blue at the tips—there were plenty of differences that set them apart.
And then there were her secrets. The ones Bronie kept all to herself.
"...Wah?! It's already getting dark? Was I too focused again? Oh well, let's get out of here before I run into more strangers I don't want to deal with. Hmm?" Bronie murmured, glancing around.
Her drone, shaped like a small bunny helmet, hovered beside her, equipped with advanced modifications. Through it, Bronie could observe a variety of places and events happening around the academy.
One such observation was the figure of someone climbing the clock tower.
"Here comes the blessed child." 「Bronie」
"So, you're here," Houraiji Kyuusyou greeted her coolly.
"Didn't I tell you to contact me through one of my drones if you wanted to meet, Savior? What is it this time? Does it have to do with Old Man Kevin again?" Bronie shot back, crossing her arms.
"I don't go looking for trouble as a hobby. But indeed, it's a burden I must bear. What I seek is a way to save this world from the dangers that threaten it! Now then... there's something I need your help with." 「Houraiji Kyuusyou」
In this world, the two of them were no strangers to each other.
They had shared moments during their time in grade school, often labeled as "weirdos" by their classmates. Yet, their bond wasn't just forged through shared ridicule—it was something deeper.
Houraiji Kyuusyou, the girl with dark purple hair and an unmistakable chuunibyou vibe, had always sensed something unusual about Bronie. A strange condition she couldn't quite define but instinctively knew could disrupt the peace of the world's future if left unchecked.
As for Bronie, she was also familiar with Houraiji Kyuusyou in her own way. Their shared history wasn't something she could forget, even if she sometimes wished she could.
"From the east of this city, whenever I gaze in that direction... I feel a tingling in my left eye. Through this peacekeeper of mine, I sense a disturbance—a force that threatens to shatter the bright future of mankind," Houraiji Kyuusyou declared dramatically, her hand hovering over her eye.
"Hmm, how heavy are we talking, exactly?" Bronie asked, her voice flat but tinged with curiosity.
"More than Honkai." 「Houraiji Kyuusyou」
Kyuusyou's words might have sounded like nonsense to most, but Bronie didn't look suspicious in the slightest. Instead, she seemed entirely accustomed to dealing with this kind of thing.
Without hesitation, she activated one of her drones, directing it toward the area Kyuusyou had indicated. Less than a minute later, she had the intel she needed.
"As expected of the Savior, when it comes to calamities and catastrophes, you're always the first to know~," Bronie teased with a smirk.
"...With this power in the palm of my hand, I seek your aid in this conquest. We cannot allow this danger to grow stronger than the storm brewing within our hearts." 「Houraiji Kyuusyou」
One was known as the "problem child" who controlled countless drones and rode a motorcycle to school. The other was the "weird kid," infamous for predicting events before they happened.
The pair of Haxxor and Savior.
"Haha... then the same as usual, Savior. The greatest hacker, on your service." 「Bronie」
"Great! I mean, duty savored," Kyuusyou corrected herself, fumbling slightly but keeping her enthusiasm. "By the way, I just saw your guardian ordering herself with favorable offering..."
"She's just being dragged into another commotion taking place in this city, so don't mind that grandma. But since you're saying that, let's go and grab some meal. Your treat of course." 「Bronie」
One was a World Initiator, a figure capable of driving the world forward. The other, a mysterious presence from an uncertain future. In this world, they clasped hands once more, sealing their alliance again.
For the countless time.
