Chereads / A real game / Chapter 4 - Story Quest

Chapter 4 - Story Quest

After 4 hours I completed the quest, turns out there was a hidden reward, wich was more amazing, apparently you only find out if you get it, and it was a leather armor set, thanks to this quest, I reached level 7, after equipping my armor my status window changed.

It was already good to have an armor set, but fame made it possible to meat the town mayor, it was my ticket to having more quests, and I will be taking all my earnings without fail.

As I exited the shop, I found the guard from before waiting for me, he wasn't even looking at me straight in the face when he talked

" - Sir Max, the mayor invites you to his humble residence,

- Ok, please lead the way. "

While walking the street, I found that I was more catching then before, people started noticing me, and that felt good, in a weird way, like an outcast that finally joined the group of normal people, but that wasn't it, I wondered about the mayor's house being called humble, and it was, literally, it was a little bit bigger than the other houses, but still dirty, like ever other corner of this house.

Just after I reached the doors of the said residence, it opened, showing a thin and tall body, this noc was truly old, and I wouldn't have believed that it was the mayor if not for his name being writing above his head

{ Marcos ESCUDERO level 20 town mayor }

And just that, anyways, he welcomed me in, and started talking about his town, according to him, the forgotten town was once a rich one, but being in the borders of the kingdom, The angel's wings kingdom, it had being gave up on since the demon attacks started, they said that to save gods children they had to give some, like kind of for the greater good, thow it has being done almost a year ago, no attacks were to be made, but the kingdom still did forget about them from where comes the town's name.

The quest thow was a long quest that will take some time.

So I needed food, and herbs first, weapons and armor can either be made, or found, and there was only a normal forger in town, thow to reach that level I needed to pass from a basics learner to an intermediate and then advanced, just to become a forget, but I didn't mind that, as forging is a money making profession.

So with that thought in mind, I went to the forest, I was planning to hunt as much as I can from rabbits first before going to hunt wolfs, and my title helped a lot.

It took me just 2 hours this time. to hunt 300 rabbits, all due to my title, for so, I took me 1 to 2 hits to hunt a rabbit, thow I only leveled up once.

After that I went ahead, I found the puppy from before again, playing by itself, so I hit him, but the little wolf's health only went down by half, so I hit again, but just before I did he cried, thow I didn't miss, I knew that this meant troubles, but the loot was too good, a weapon, 20 coopers, and a piece of armor, well that is a crazy loot to have, just as I picked it up, a big wolf showed up.

{ Wolf level 13

Statut : enraged

HP :500/ 500 }

That was short but I knew I fucked up, so I turned around and started running, only to find that the wolf blocked my road, fight it is then, I picked my katana, and started slashing in front of me, but the said wolf was not harmed in the slightest, it had high defence, and high agility, so I had to raise both of them,

Then I started again, thow it worked, I only took around 5 HP points in each hit, so I had to dodge too, as the wolf started attacking, thankfully the forest too much trees, thick ones at that, so it was relatively easy, I continued fighting like that, sometimes putting a critical hit, it took me though half an hour to kill him, her, anyways, the loot was too much, I got a skill book, a wolf fang, 1 bronze, and the wolf's body, aside from the experience, I leveled up thrice reaching level 10

I took a look at the skill book

{ skill : bloody hit level 1

A hit that makes the target loose 10 HP per second for 3 seconds }

That is a skill I will need to develope, anyways after killing the wolf, I wanted to advance, kinda instincts, telling me a treasure was ahead, and guess what, I was right, I found a little cave like place, that had the ground covered in all kinds of herbs, normal herbs and rare herbs, and started working, I also found that the walls were actually metals, too bad I don't have mining skills.

Only after I cleaned the ground from any left over herbs did I go back to the town, wich I reached a little before the gates were closed, I went than to the town hall where I found that the mayor, still waiting, seriously, couldn't hee work instead, anyways, I handed him the rabbit bodies, all 300 of them, and 300 common herbs I got.

After that, I picked up one rare herb and presented it to the mayor, I wanted to sell it for a higher price but was rejected, than I sked him if he would like me to make leather armor for him, that is for him to provide the 300 rabbit hides, and a workshop with all the required material, so he sent me to the meat shop owner and use his workshop, turns out he was a blacksmith, and me calling him by so was only due to not having any intel on the shop but meat, when I asked, he said he didn't have ores and metals to work with.

"- How about this, I need a pickaxe, and I want to learn blacksmithing along with making armor, I will provide the hides and ores you need if you accept, what do you think

- hmm, well rabbit hides are of no use to me, I mean I can teach you to make armor with it but it's only useful to guards and town's folk,

- I still want it, but how about this. "

I showed my wolf hide, to wich he didn't seem surprised just interested.

"- That'll do, if you can provide me with lots of it you can get a whole army's worth of armor sets.

- you mean you can make a whole set out of this single hide?

- Either that, or 5 armor pieces.

- Okay, and any places with lots of wolf's you'd recommend?

- Well not to recommend, but there are lots of small caves in the borders of the forest, at the end though, there is a big cave swarmed with them, so you better be cautious.

- Thanks, that'll do. "

With that, I went to the ranted room and started meditation getting it to level 11, later that night, I started learning to control water, windless magic is hard but useful, and I found that mana is a thread of power that is as strong as much as it is thick, so I had to learn to control, and develop,maybe later make it loop around may katana

to wich I got +3 in both intelligence and wisdom, learning made intelligence develop while planing developed wisdom.

I continued like that all night before having my water control get to level 5, and gaining a passive skill windless magician

{ Passive skill Windless magic level 1

When doing magic without a wind, your skill development is boosted by 5 percent }

Thow it is a short explanation, I knew that this skill made me what I lacked, a magician having a katana is quite the weird combination, but this skill made it at least possible, maybe , if I could boost this skill to a certain level, I might be able to boost even my magic,and be a true windless magician, wich is an advanced level of magic, after all, Merlin knew how to use it, and he was magician god.

And besides that, I réalisés something else, as for my realisations I got +3 in both intelligence and wisdom again, so guessing right did the job too.

As the morning was already on, I went ahead to the forest, I had a pack of wolfs to hunt.
