As Kiyoshi traverses through a swamp to his new mission. He recalls the information that Sairon gave him about the mission. "If I recall masters correctly, my new mission is in the town of Uragiri. From what the master said, there is a mysterious warrior preventing people from leaving and entering the town. And they need me to investigate why the person is attacking them and stop them if necessary." Remarked Kiyoshi to himself as he leaves the swamp and walks down the roadway into the town.
As Kiyoshi walks down the roadway, he sees the sun beginning to set as the day comes to an end. As he continues on his way, a deep and mysterious mist covers his surroundings, making visibility next to impossible. With visibility next to nothing, Kiyoshi still journeys on when he sees an unknown figure standing in front of him. Even with the thick foggy mist decreasing his eyesight, he can see that the figure was wielding a sword.
"So they sent a child to kill me? You're no older than my youngest son would have been before. Word of advice, kid, I have nothing against you, so leave before you don't get the chance to." Remarked the figure in a deep monotone voice. But before Kiyoshi could reply to the estranged figure, both it and the mist quickly disappeared without a trace.
"Hmmm, this is going to be interesting. My target appears to me and warns me to leave." Kiyoshi remarks softly under his breath. "So, Kiyo, what's your next move? It isn't often that your target approaches you first. Chimes in Lilly from within the deeps of the sword. " First thing first, let's go to the town and investigate why the figure is so angry with this town." Replied Kiyoshi as he stands in front of the entrance of the town of Uragiri.
The bright lights of the town lit up the night sky in a beautiful array of color and mysticism. Torches run down the sidewalks, lighting up the roads as people still coward the streets even as night falls. Shops and other businesses are still open, as the town of Uragiri seems to never sleep. Kiyoshi looks around in amazement as for a town attacked by an unknown entity, for years it seems to be really good for itself.
As Kiyoshi continues traversing through town observing the town people living their daily lives with men selling food on the street and even ladies of the night standing by the corners. The town had everything going for it. Rich men and women ride in horse carriages as young boys try to sell them stuff.
"This place doesn't seem to be going through hard times, does it?" Remarked Lilly as Kiyoshi continues looking around. "No, but you saw the entity, and you heard what it said. So something is still up with this place. But for right now I need to place to sleep and I start my investigations in the morning." Replied Kiyoshi as he stands in front of a motel.
The motel was old, run-down, and had a weird smell to it even from the outside. The sign contain its name, which was the night bird motel had broken off its hinges and was cracked in several places. But despite its appearance, Kiyoshi decided the motel was the ideal place to spend the night. Inside, the weird smell grew stronger as Kiyoshi ventured deeper into the motel.
Kiyoshi arrived at the counter and proceed to pay for a room. The counter was dirty and old, like it was placed there a century ago. The walls of the reception area were an off-white color, and they were stained with what appeared to be blood as if someone or somebodies was killed there. As Kiyoshi looked around slightly disgusting by his surroundings, a man appears from a room and approaches Kiyoshi from behind the counter.
The man was middle-aged and bald. He had a beer belly and wore an old t-shirt that had beer stains on them. He greeted Kiyoshi, remarking that people don't usually come here by themselves as several men and women pass them by, heading up to a room. With the group of women and men passing them, Lilly remarked that she knew this was a hoe house as Kiyoshi ignores her.
After chatting with the man, Kiyoshi takes his key and proceeds to his room, which was room 756. Inside, the room was even worse than the rest of the motel as roaches run a mock throughout the floor. The lighting was poor, as only one light switch worked. The toilet was a half barrel placed into the floor with pipes under it to carry the waste to God knows where.
The bed was the biggest offender, as it was just straw and grass wrapped poorly in some kind of animal skin. With termite-infested wood, lifting it up off the ground. "You actually spent money to sleep in this dump. Jesus christ Kiyo better you slept in the woods. This place is so bad it has me using taboo words, ehhh." Shouted Lilly as she manifest herself onto the poorly made bed.
"What taboo words did you use?" Asked Kiyoshi as he looks at her with confusion as she tries to analyze what she had just said. "Jesu.s Christ, Kiyo, am a demon remember boo. Can't be using the son of God's name like that. If I was still in hell, I would be a social outcast just for saying that." Remarked Lilly as she tries not to vomit due to the disgusting room that had to spend the night in.
"Why here Kiyo, anywhere but here?" Lilly continued as she tried to kill the one million and one roaches running about, but to no avail. "Here is perfect. It's in the center of town, but it is still remote. Which I need it to be. If the unknown figure attacks, I will have a better chance of catching them if I am in the center of everything, but I also need to make my presence and movements unknown. So this is why I chose here now am going to sleep so move over ok." Replied Kiyoshi as he proceeds to lay in bed a fall asleep.
Early the next morning, Kiyoshi scouted through the whole town looking for clues as to why the mysterious entity was attacking the town but had no luck finding anything. "You spent six hours still haven't found anything. Fantastic samurai you are, but horrible detective you are as well." Remarked Lilly with the deeps of the sword.
"I must be missing something. There has to be something, but what? I haven't found any disturbances in town, no demonic cult rituals or symbols, nothing. So why is this happening?" Remarked Kiyoshi as he racked his brain trying to figure of the mystery of the entity and the town.
Suddenly he could hear the frantic gossiping of the town's people. As Kiyoshi easy drops on their conversation, he can hear that ships coming into dock were attacked by the entity and everyone was killed. "Guess am heading to the port, might find a clue there or even find the entity there." Remarked Kiyoshi as he quickly heads over to the port to investigate the scene before the police arrive.
Moments later, Kiyoshi arrives at the gruesome scene. Three cargo ships were completely destroyed and everyone onboard them was dead. "There must've at least two hundred crew on board these ships as they're were all dead in a matter of minutes. Why? Why attack the cargo ships coming in with people not from this town if the town is the problem? This getting more and more confusing the more I dig into it." Declared Kiyoshi as he traverses through the ships.
The crew of the ships was savagely attacked as limbs and body parts littered the ships and blood spattered across the entirety of the ships. As he continues to investigate the ships, he notices that the facial expression of most of the crew was relaxed and calm despite their gruesome and blooded end. Which suggested that whatever attacked them did it so fast they didn't have time to notice, let alone react in time to save themselves.
As Kiyoshi left the last ship, he also took notice that nothing in the three ships was touched or removed. Suggesting the entity only came to kill the crew, destroy the ships and leave, but why?
As Kiyoshi pondered these thoughts in his head, trying to find out what he was still missing, he is soon approached by an old woman with a pink and red Kimono with white flowers on it. She walked slowly toward Kiyoshi with a walking stick in hand as she adjust her glasses before stopping and looking up at the young samurai. Remarking that maybe she can be of some assistance to the crisis, Kiyoshi was sent to solve in the Town of Uragiri
