It was almost dusk by the time everyone comes to an agreement on the festival, though going from a one day festival to a three day festival wasn't even on the agenda. But with the horde coming we have the ability to do more things and we really do need the revenue.
Duke of Hendieval not only spent all our city funds but the funds for the expansion projects of the city and the roadways between the towns of the Clauce Territory.
Hence why poor Baron of Mai became a Marquess when he was elected best to take over Marquess of Hendieval. The man had been a civil servant of this town for thirty years, he was also the one involved in helping expose the previous Dukes corruption. He earn the title indeed. Though that leaves all the aftermath on his lap, and leave it to us to inherent our Gifts and Law abiding duties during that said year. So we sympothised with the man plenty.
None the less now we are all trying to reestablish our towns standing. I'm glad everyone else is too, it should raise the success rate of this festival.
I return to the basement and search for more boxes. Helia and I have been taking jabs at fusion magic and we think we might have perfected a miniature golem.
We are going to try and sell them during the festival for we need money as well. We are applying for a stand at the festivals to sell goods we have created ourselves.
We are taking at potion brewing and our concoctions so far have been very potient. We've been giving them away at the local guilds with feedback slips attached for free.
We created six inch rock golems that warm people of monsters in a ten yard radius. Great for monster hunting and forest camping. They last ten hours and can be recharged once being left in fire for an hour.
We have been working with the projected numbers of hunting and Adventure parties from previous successful years to determine how many to make for sale.
We are almost half way thru needed inventory for festival day. And now that it's multiple days we will probably have to double or projected numbers. I'm glad we decided to start early.
Over the course of the next two weeks the three schools in the town get together to create one massive musical with the musical bands of the city.
We managed to create a strong group of writers, coordinators and directors. We had to redo the stage for the one in town wasn't big enough.
Goldie and Zelena create a revolving seating area and made her backyard as the stage. The play coordinators have created Princess and Pirates story.
The illusion stones came handy to help create an illusion of water. It makes the boat scenes feel realistic.
"Sisters are you all ready?! We need to go the carriage is pulling up!" I shout as I sense the horses getting onto the property.
"Why did the Marquess decide to play host for this Festival meeting?" Zelena questions as she readjusted the corset on her evening gown.
"Because he wants this to be a success. This town and the small branch villages need funding," I respond before shouting Helias name up the stairs when the carriage pulls up to the door.
The doorbell rings and I don't hesitate to pull it open, "Eli sisters I am Allen Scoff I will be your carriage handler today. Please follow me," he steps aside and extends a hand to the carriage.
Zelena thanks him as she walks out, snaping me from my daze. Helia locks the door behind us and we take off to the inner part of the city to Marquesss' manor.
We come to a stop and seconds later the door opens door us and the Marquess helps us out himself.
"Hello Eli sisters, sorry for pulling you all aside like this but we have a bit of a problem," Marquess calls a messanger forward.
"After our conversation about the spider migrations I started reaching out to the other small settlements from here to Duke Van Liones territory and a few settlements returned my mails, three reported the migration passes by their forests. I was sending a response letter to one of the settlements and well, Jonstien tell them what you encountered."
"Well Eli sisters I was on my morning delivery route to the settlements and on my way to Embrosa I noticed an eerie silence once half way to the first settlement. But when I arrived to the waterhole for the horses I notice what I first thought was fog but as I got closer I saw that it was spider webs, as thick as cloth. I took some. I stopped when the main road started getting covered by giant canyons. I didn't want to risk it was a nest and I broke one open. I rushed back and came to the Marquess after speaking to the Message Director," he hands us a piece of the webs and it was three inches thick and soft like wool.
"This web is very interesting," I mutter before passing it to my sisters.
"Would you like for us to prioritize this? I rather not wait till after the festival," Helia speaks up without inspecting the web.
"Yes. I was hoping you three would allow me and my wife to take over the preparations of the Festival so this can become your main focus. I had them bring you around back for I wish to provide a small carriage and mu fastest horses so the three of you can arrive quickly.
"Then just lend us the horses my lord. We travel light and if the roads are blocked a carriage my interfere more in our investigation," I say as Zelena hands the web back.
The Marquees agrees and had the horses preped for horseback. We hand him all the binders we have of the festival and get going.
