Chapter 4 - Encounter With Super-normal Creatures

After I had been killed, I had been expecting to wake up in the land of the living again but that didn't happen.

Instead, I found myself falling down an unending dark pit for what seemed like weeks.

As I fell down the unending pit, I could feel some strange things happening in my body.

In the darkness, I saw moving images of martial art steps and strategies which appeared and moved into me.

Also, my sense of presence increased and I could feel everything around me. I could also see certain things which didn't make any sense to me but still entered into my brain.

It continued for what seemed like forever until something pushed me violently from behind.

I managed to turn around, despite the difficulty of moving but whatever it was was too fast that before I could turn around, it had moved to my back and pushed me forward.

Suddenly, out of no where, strategic moves on defending myself against the violent attacker appeared in front of me.

But could I even attempt any of these super skills??

Yes I could! And I did!

To my surprise, I did a full spin, dodged the fast hands of the attacker and seeing a free undefended spot, I hit the open chest of the attacker.

"AAaaaarrh!!" It yelled and vanished into the darkness

Unknown to me, there was another one above me, and another behind me.

My newly acquired abilities detected only the one behind me, which I skillfully slid below and gave a bicycle kick, hitting it at the back.

By the time I detected the other attacker, it was too late as I had already been held at my shoulder with sharp talons which penetrated my skin.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!" I shrieked in pain as it grabbed my other shoulder and flew away from the dark pit moving into another sub-realm.

I stop struggling to get free as I realised that the more I struggled, the deeper the talons went into my shoulder and the more hurtful it became.

The creature hollered as it carried me along.

In this realm, I could see rocks burning in green flames and the first horrifying thought that crossed my mind was;

IS THIS HELL???

The creature went higher up, towards a mountain which had been lit up with strange ancient lamps.

As we went closer, I noticed that there were other frightening creatures positioned there.

The creature dropped me at the centre of the mountain top, surrounded by ten-foot tall terrifying creatures.

My eyes fluttered as I looked around me to see the most horrifying creatures ever.

Some looked alike to the one which had carried me, while others were much bigger and more frightening.

The only things the creatures had in common were the large, sharp and terrifying double horns on their shapeless heads.

Also they had blood-red eyes and the sharpest talons which were about one metre long.

As I scanned the whole place, my eyes stopped and was fixed on a human figure amidst the creatures.

Although, the figure had it's back towards me, I could still detect that it was a young man.

"Who are y-you?" I asked.

I heard a loud cracking laughter from him. "It's good to see you, Halumin."

"Who is that?" I asked.

He didn't respond. "Now, where is the sword?" He asked.

"What sword??"

"The cursed sword." He said.

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

He motioned to the creatures and they took a step towards me. "Don't lie to me because these creatures can get really nasty."

Concerning that, I didn't doubt him at all.

"Honestly, i am not with the sword!" I said confidently.

He groaned. "Okay, I believe you." Then he turned around but I still couldn't see his face as he was putting on a hood.

"Here's what's going to happen, Halumin." He said, calmly. "I know that you're aware of the sword's location and that's the only reason I'm going to let you live."

My heart shook violently in my chest. "I-i don't know…"

He held up his hand to shut me up. "Don't even think of lying to me, Halumin." He chuckled. "It's good to see how much you've grown. Your job is to go and bring me the sword. Do you understand?"

It wasn't like I had a choice. "Yes."

"That's good." He said.

My eyes twitched as I watched the young man before me gradually transform into a beast with long jagged tails and burning green eyes.

He began walking towards me and with every step he took, the mountain trembled.

I attempted to move away but I was prevented by one of the awful creatures.

The big beast stood before me and then motioned to the creature behind me to rip off my shirt.

I didn't try to struggle as it was of no use.

After ripping out my shirt, the beast cackled.

Then it struck me with it's sharp claws and cut me twice across my chest.

I yelled in pain as I could feel the hot blood oozing out of my chest.

"With this mark, I'd be able to keep track of you, Halumin." The beast said. "So, don't joke with me."

I didn't respond mainly because I couldn't. I was overwhelmed with extreme pain as I eyes began to fail me.

From my twitching eyes, I watched the beast laugh continuously.

"Take him away!" He ordered. "He has a job to do for me."

Just then did the same creature that had brought me here, walked behind me and this time it didn't grab me with it's talons, rather it lifted me up onto it's back and flew away.

Then we reentered the endless pit realm and there, the creature let go of me.

Like that, I continued my falling through the void darkness, hoping that I wouldn't die before I arrived the living world.

I tried to keep my eyes open but my body fought against me and soon, I found myself dying slowly.
