Chapter 2 - Getting to know BOY GEORGE

It's time to let the music do the talking!

-Getting to know BOY GEORGE

We could finally sit down and get to know one of the most iconic personality in the world, that never doubted what to tell anyone how daring and open minded he is, George Alan O'Dowd; sat with us not to talk about his life; that we all already know, but to reflect and discern the purpose of his music and the message behind his biopics and works.

From an early age; knew what his preferred road to take was to be, not being ashamed nor regretted what he was to do or to be.

The day we agreed to meet was at his house, on a beautiful fall afternoon at his house. We just caught up with him just coming back from his regular afternoon walk with his black Pomeranian dog.

Happy and cheerful and polite, as we always see him, opened the door of his house and invited us to get inside.

Inside, a very inviting warm welcoming yellow dining room was waiting for us. By the window, George had set up a round little table where he sat in the afternoons to enjoy his cuppa of tea and some cookies while enjoying the view of his backyard garden.

Behind him, photos of him with his dad and mom, his brothers and sister.

On his table, some sweets to enjoy with tea and his notebook to record what comes to mind to his next song, or a quick draw for his next paintings or next piece of clothing for his new BRude collection.

His characteristic bright eyes opened up wider as he poured the tea for us to enjoy and start the interview. His normal charming easy going personality embraced us turning the environment a unforgettable moment the way only George knew how to do it.

He always showed and inspired many to come out and never feel ashamed of what they are, on the contrary be who they are 'be you, do you'.

He has also shown how resilient his personality is, even though Culture Club separation time affected them, George resilience to continue, literally reinvented himself without having to give up his all time Carter, found himself come to life when DJ and clothing designer. His innovating ideas keep always surprising us.

George has also participated in TV shows like

Just to mention a few

Taboo is a story about a young girl and boy swept up in this exciting artistic climate, a story which also focuses on two young men – Leigh Bowery, a brilliant, anarchic performance artist and designer, and George O'Dowd, a young, rough-edged boy who arrives in London and, once part of the Eighties club world, becomes the surprising crossover star of the scene, Boy George.

George has recently open an art exhibition where his latest paintings are shown. His new talent has nothing to be compared to. He has also painted for Madonna, Prince to mentioned a few.

Well, George is currently working on his 60 song writing release, promises to cover all music genres from his iconic 80s indie music to jazzy versions like 'The Man I Love'

Yes, in the life of George, there's never a dull moment!

For sure if we can't find George singing at his concerts, for sure he will be working on designing more new clothes for his clothing line, painting or DJing.

Never a dull moment for Boy George!
