“Hayden…” I whispered his name as other words were robbed from me.
Why does he sound so sad?
“But I do love you and I’ll try my best to protect you no matter what. Even if it means that it will cost me my life, I will protect you,” Hayden said it like a promise.
I felt tears swimming in my eyes. Why would he say something like that?
