Chapter 6 - bad luck in traffic jam

"Why, Nathan?"

Lidia looked at me who looked shocked. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, "It's okay. My hand almost dropped this glass,"

I lied. I don't know what shadow figure I saw just now, it looks like someone passing by but quickly and just disappears. Accompanied by a reddish mist. It was similar to the image I saw at night when my car accidentally hit the woman in front of me.

Or is it just me? Lest the fog is just a game of light.

"Would you mind visiting someone like this? What about your work and other business?"

Lidia asked again, breaking my thoughts.

"Yes, no problem. .Today's work is done, and tomorrow is the weekend, holiday, come back on Monday,"

I answered, wiping my face.

The woman in front of me smiled, accompanied by a faint nod.

"How are your feet feeling now? Have you finished the medicine yet?"

I almost forgot what I came here for, which was to know the progress of Lidia's condition.

Lidia looked down at her injured leg. There is still a bandage left over his left calf. I stared at him, watching.

"It doesn't hurt too much..The medicine is almost finished too, just a little more,"

I'm not really sure if what she just said was true, or if he was just pretending to please me. Eh, I mean so that I don't worry. But so far, she had indeed not hired anyone to be her assistant at her house. That means, she does all the work at home herself. Perhaps what she said about his condition was true.

"Ah, then, after the medicine, we'll go to the clinic again, to check progress, ok?"

She nodded, "Thanks Nathan,"

I nodded slowly. Finally, I can feel relieved with this visit, because the condition of the person I accidentally hurt, has begun to improve. Hopefully in the next few days he will be fully recovered.

"I promise, I'll take you for a walk, when you're completely healed. Where can we eat together, thank you for your recovery, agree?"

I said, before saying goodbye a few minutes later.

The woman nodded, "Yes,"

"Okay, then I'll go home first, okay?"

She led me to the gate and waved with a gentle smile.

It was getting late, my watch showed forty-five past five. I focused on holding the steering wheel, because it started to rain. I had the wiper turned on on the windshield, and after a minute it started to rain.

Make the windshield foggy, and the air becomes cold.

My eyes get sleepy easily in this air and weather. Looks like a little sleep when you get home later, will be very delicious. I speed up the vehicle, so that I can get home quickly, because I want to quickly lie down on the bed. Besides, I'm a bit tired because I entered the office before visiting Lidia.

However, it seems I was too soon hoping to go home soon. Unfortunately, five meters from my view, there was a queue of cars in front of me.

Jam, again like this. I really want to sleep and rest. I hit the steering wheel in annoyance, and accidentally hit the horn button making the car in front of me honk back, because he thought I was deliberately telling him to get out of the way in traffic jams.

It's definitely going to be long. However, the cause of this traffic jam is not due to a traffic accident, but something more terrible, it seems.

My car stopped right at the edge of the shopping area, which is on the left. A team of police was seen busy lifting something from the gap of the narrow alley between the cafe and the clothes shop, in the pouring rain. That something was wrapped in some sort of banner-like material. I saw it clearly even though it was raining heavily, because the position of my car was in the row closest to the alley gap.

I saw that there was blood flowing with the flow of rainwater, which came from inside the narrow alley.

Several cops teamed up to pick up the package which I-I thought I could guess was what it was.

The hairs on my neck stand at the thought of it.

In fact, some time ago, I just saw a terrible thing with Erwin. A human being devoured by an imitation woman.

"Ouch! Be careful dong! Hold it right!"

One of the policemen who was carrying the package shouted angrily at his colleague, because...

Gosh...my eyes widened when I saw what happened.

One of them accidentally let go of the hand grip on the large package, because his foot accidentally hit the tactical car in front of him, causing the contents of the package they were carrying, to slide some of them down onto the paving block floor.

Im immediately looked away when the pile of heads that were split into several parts, as well as pieces of the brain, eyeballs, neck fell and was clearly visible.

Damn it! I wish my eyes were farsighted instead of having to look at such a sight.

Other passengers must be disgusted to see it. One or two of them were heard complaining in their respective cars after witnessing something crazy just now. There was even the sound of a child crying from one of the cars. He must have been shocked by what he had just seen.

Now, my stomach started to feel queasy, and not to mention, there was a faint rancid smell of blood.

My hands quickly felt the bottom of the seat, looking for a special plastic bag for vomiting and without waiting long, my stomach, which had reacted brutally, immediately let out its contents.

After that, I immediately took a sip of mineral water which turned out not to be good. Not because of the taste of the water, but because of my throat which felt very uncomfortable after removing the contents of my stomach.

After that, I took the wind oil with the aroma of eucalyptus. I rubbed it on the forehead that started to feel dizzy, because of several things at this time. Then I put on a face mask that I have smeared with wind oil on the nose area. This is to prevent the rancid smell of blood that now stings my nose.

Ouch, I hope the traffic jam will break down soon, I can't stand being in that area for long.

You might faint because you can't stand it. Better to be stuck for hours without seeing weird stuff like this. I'm also not sure about my condition, whether I can drive until I get home or not, because even now my head is very dizzy, not to mention feeling nauseous.

However, it turns out that I can also drive up to where I live, even though I'm already like someone who just drank a lot of alcohol. I stagger a bit and occasionally cling to the wall I pass.

Some of my apartment neighbors helped me when I was about to enter my place. They asked about my condition. And I said I wasn't feeling well.

One of them was kind enough to give medicine.

It was only when I said I would be fine and wanted to rest, that they all came out of my apartment.

I sat back on the sofa, massaging the forehead that still felt dizzy, and occasionally inhaled the aroma of wind oil.

I feel bad today. The intention to go home quickly and rest in peace, instead saw something that no one wanted to see..
