Aurora got to Caspian's chambers with the tea, she knocked lightly,
"Come in."
Aurora walked with the tea and placed it in front of him, "Your tea My Lord."
"How are you feeling?"
"Couldn't be better My Lord."
"I told you to take your time, are you even fit to be back at work?"
"Yes I am My Lord, I am fully recovered."
Caspian stood up, he sat on the bed, "Come sit here Aurora."
He patted a seat next to him, Aurora blushed as she went to where he was telling her to sit. When she was seated and her back was to hum he unzipped the back of her dress and she grew flustered.
He didn't go very and he was touching her wound, she now understood his intentions, yet it felt nice the way he was touching her skin.
He was gentle and very careful, "Does it hurt?"
"No My Lord."
Caspian zipped her dress and she was surprised when he lifted her gently and put her in his arms, she was seated on top of him with her hand around his neck.
His hands went around her waist and he held her in a tight embrace, his scent was making her lose her train of thought.
His head was on her neck so when he spoke his warm breath tickled her neck, "I have never had anyone do what you did for me Aurora you were the only one that moved to save me."
He pulled back looking at her directly in the eye, "I was already having trouble with how I felt about you, you make me feel very different."
Aurora could see that he was very vulnerable from his words, he seemed like a lost boy that had entered a forest and did not know in which direction he was.
Aurora placed her hand on his cheek and wanted to offer him comfort and this was all she could think of doing.
When she did that, Caspian's eyes became soft and gentle, he was looking at her with fondness and something else.
He placed his hand on her neck and pulled her in for a kiss. This kiss was mutually very passionate as if they wanted to hold on to each other and never let go.
When they let go, Aurora could scarcely breathe and she knew for sure that she wanted Caspian to be hers and hers alone.
Aurora got up and as she was about to leave Caspian took her hand and led her to the table, he made her sit down as he smiled at her.
He poured her some tea which she wanted to oppose to but he insisted, they drank tea as they spoke.
Aurora learned a lot about Caspian and when it was close to dinner time she had to leave, "I have to leave My Lord."
Caspian seemed to be sad at her words, he also stood up and pulled her in his arms and she still was not used to it.
It sent a rush through her, "I can't wait to see you tomorrow."
Aurora blushed, "Me too My Lord."
Caspian leaned down and kissed her thoroughly, and when he pulled back from the kiss he hugged her for a while.
When she finally left, Aurora made her way to the servant's kitchen and got herself some food, she went to her friends.
"You smell amazing Aurora," Ida remarked.
"Thank you."
"Don't you know when to clean for royalties their scent attaches to yours?" Lucy added.
They carried on eating and she was glad that her friends had not caught on that the only reason as to why she had his scent is because she was in his arms.
When she got to her place, Aurora lay in bed and was grinning from ear to ear, the time she had spent with Caspian today was amazing.
She could also not wait to see him, and she finally slept thinking of him.
The next morning she went to clean he was standing by the door, and he leaned in and kissed her, "I had to see you before I left."
Aurora laughed lightly and watched him disappear, she finished her work and today she was dismissed early as Caspian would not be there for tea time.
The weekend came and she was not required to be there and was glad she got some time off. When Monday morning came, Caspian was not there and she felt empty and sad.
She sat by her tree,
"Aurora I haven't seen you in some time do you still have duties?" Elliot grinned.
"As of lately no, I was dismissed for the weekend, I wonder what was going on?"
"Oh, that Caspian went hunting and hosted Nadia's father."
"Oh, I see."
"They set a wedding date."
Aurora felt her heart sink but this would have had to happen sooner or later, "When is the wedding?"
"Three weeks from now. Lots of preparations have to be made."
"Makes sense."
The weekend came and Aurora had not seen Caspian again but she knew that she would have to deal with it.
She was going to try and not dread today and they were hosting Nadia for the weekend. Food was packed for the horse riding trip and the place that was going to be set for dinner.
Elliot made sure the horses were ready, Caspian and Nadia approached side by side and no matter how badly she wanted to see Caspian she would not.
They greeted them and they both saddled on their horses, some of the servants including her started going in front, and some of them at the back.
Elliot walked up to her, "I hope nothing bad happens this time."
Aurora gave him a sarcastic look, "sorry once was more than enough I'm afraid."
They laughed as they carried on, as Caspian and Nadia diverted for a view they had to carry on walking so that when they got there the picnic area would be set out.
They got to the destination, very flat and they put out the clothes and food and drinks. Everything looked amazing.
Some of the food dished out,
"Aurora do you mind going to that apple tree and getting fresh fruit?"
"It's not a problem."
Aurora took the basket and went down to where the apples were. She climbed the tree, and after collecting a good amount she came down, but her dress caught on and it ripped.
She picked up the apple and went to the river bank to wash them, after the last apple was washed she slid on a rock and fell into the muddy area of the water.
This was not her day, half of her dress was covered in mud and it was torn, she was fit to be a beggar at this point.
She got up and realized she had hurt her knee, she carried her basket back to where the others were.
One of the slaves took the basket and was looking at her weirdly. Elliot came next to her, "What happened to you."
"I woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
As Caspian and Nadia were eating they sat at the far end, "You are limping."
"I fell badly by the bank."
Elliot balanced her as she sat down and so did he. The day was going great and by the sound of Nadia's voice, Caspian was doing a fine job of hosting her.
The sunset and she felt cold and was glad it was time to go back, she was glad she was exempt from packing up as her leg was painful.
Elliot helped her up and her foot was in so much pain,
"You go, Elliot, I will be fine."
Elliot wanted to protest but she gave him a stern look, how would he manage his own load and her at the same time?
She did not want to be a burden to him, they set out and she was falling behind on her own. As she would need to rest her leg a bit and then carry on.
Aurora got a huge fright when she heard and saw someone coming from the front, and it was probably Elliot.
She was surprised when Caspian turned up, he seemed to be irritated with her, "You never ask for help even if you are in a dire situation."
"I did not want to be a bother My Lord, and I am fine."
"No, you are not Aurora."
Caspian picked her up gently bridal style and went back to his horse and everyone was now looking even, Nadia.
He placed her down, mounted on his horse and he held out his hand out to her, she took it and it pulled her up behind him so easily.
Aurora did not know where to place her hands so she held them by the sides careful not to fall, but Caspian took her hands and wrapped them around him.
"She could have ridden with me." Nadia offered.
"I don't want to be a burden to you."
"Not at all, you shouldn't underestimate me."
Caspian winked at her, "I won't."
Aurora felt a bit awkward as they were flirting in front of her, when they got to the palace Caspian climbed off and held out his hands for Aurora.
He lifted her and set her nicely on the ground. He turned to Nadia, "I had a lovely day and I don't want to keep you much longer."
"Fine but I will be back soon as we have a few things to discuss."
Caspian nodded, "I know our wedding."
Nadia grinned "I can't wait to be fully yours."
"I feel the same way."
