Jayden got out of his mother's car, the warmth of her lips still burning against his cheek as he looked down in order to avoid eye contact. Although his ears could not stop colliding with the sounds which flew all over the airs which inhabited the school yard.
The diagonal pathway which was dominated by shadows of the trees which ran along it, towards the the office where the hush aura of the infamous principal could be felt burning against one's skin.
Mr Ford was his name, and he was indeed the first thought which came to mind, for the white building of the office was the first architecture which one could see while entering Hazelmere High... Behind the office, there were diagonal stretches of classrooms rolls , each roll consisting of 5 classes. Roll 1, 8A to 8E, roll 2: 9A to 9E and so on.
On the right side of the classroom rolls were the swimming pool and the tennis court. While on the left side stood the Hall way, just 40 meters to the grade 8 classrooms' roll. Behind the classrooms rolls, there was a massive sportsfield where Rugby, Soccer and cricket could be played.
Yet, Jayden thought of all this to himself as he walked forth, passing the chit chatters of students and the scanning irises of the fellow schoolmates which he walked pass. Starting his 9th grade at a new school was not exactly as easy as he thought. Until that same thought was bulldozed by the shift of tension, due to the attention grabbing shout which came from the right side of the office...
"Come see, quickly!" Someone clearly shook with a shot of concern, quickly turned around and let his feet carry him away.
Jayden, the new brownish redhead of the school, clearly didn't want to go and let his hair share some of the attention, but when he felt a hand grabbing his shoulder before quickly pulling his arm along the direction of that sea of a curious crowd of students, he just quietly lifted his eyebrows at his only friend Amy - who had her fair share of attention due to being 6ft4 tall, probably due to her blonde hair and pretty blue eyes which hid the insecure model inside of her.
3 minutes later, running along the pavement of the 2nd block, just after passing classroom A; they pushed their way into the doors of classroom 9B and found a wave of hanging lips and frozen eyes faced towards the white board of the classroom. It's white colour temporarily tinted with the sunlit hues of a mild yellow, as the sunlight stretched past the windows to gently brush across the green-written, diaginally 'upside down 13' which resembled a signatory crown which was underlined, while also diagonally leaning to the right. The letters 'JMK' running underneath it...
"Not again!" "Who could be doing this?" "Wait till Mr Ford catches him, or her!" Amy's anxious giggles drew Jayden's ears away from further queries and shocked statements, whose loudly warm whispers flew around the classroom and left Jayden's freckles hiding in the shade of his long red hair which provided refuge to his forehead.
"Amy, let's go, we can't be caught in here," His words parted with his soul as his his gobling green eyes brushed sight of the slim yet curvy madam who walked through the emotionally entrapped crowd of learners with the class, as she made way towards the board right at the front of the class.
"If anyone has a clue as to who would have done this, please step forward now." Her purple lipstick enclosed her lips, as her eyes swept across the class in search of any feet brave enough to step forward. "Come on now, say something!"
Her last sentence remained steady, but the voiceless Whispers of the faces before her soon faded without a doubt, as the students which had been watching from out the window dispersed too - as the sharp, swift footsteps which yielded fear in every ear which laid witness to it became louder and louder.
His tall frame and broad shoulders, widened by more than 12 years of experience in teaching, teasing and tormenting both pupils and teachers. Mr Ford's sight sent forth a deadly zeal of silence before he himself entered Classroom 9B; his cologne colliding with the bitterly serious expression which swept across his face.
"Detention for all you, for not calling me soon enough," he smiled badly as he looked around the class, his eyes soothed by the silently gnashing teeth of the surrounding students. "And this would not have happened had you come earlier Ms Marylin Rose!"
"How could I have guessed that such a thing would have happened?" The kindly sarcastic tone that dripped from her words, left her adjusting her 'candid psychologist-glasses' which failed not to slack in uplifting her pink blazer and maroon slecks.
"We will resume this conversation again soon, but for now..." He proudly brought his hand against his chest, before squeezing away the smirk on his face, " Everyone make your way to the Hallroom, NOW!"
Turning away, Jayden could almost swear that he heard his shadow hissing behind his all-grey suit which matched his grey eyes. At least he could now hear his own heartbeat drifting with rhythm again as well as the his feet free to move.
"Snap out of it Jayden!" Amy waved her hand right infrint of his face as other students walked past whilst brushing their blazers against theirs. Amy was odly weird and fairly playful at once, even mysteriously mischievous. She was wildly unpredictable and Jayden liked that about her, until Ms Marylin Rose walked past him again and left his heartbeat soaring ablaze, amidst a mist of heart-shaped clouds.
Minutes later he found himself with Amy crossing from one roll of classrooms to the other and they headed to the hall. All girls adjusting their white and green checkered dresses with green clover shaped collars and green blazers. The boys also adjusting their caramel pants and green blazers as the bypassing seniors' eyes insisted that they do so. Just as the high School hall came in sight, and the Infamous Mr Ford came to mind. Jayden and Amy's minds scrambling to predict his upcoming words
