Chapter 4 - The Silent Duel

Zero soldiers away. The battlefield was voiceless. Sounds of raindrops thumping a stone shack and armor haunted every mind. They didn't know, but ten thousand of Oates Kingdom forces were about to witness history. For a first time, two Kings of Lonson lineage opposite each other in combat. Curisods Blue Blade sat firmly in the hands of King Lonson IV. Its former wielder lay lifeless beside his twin brother. Heavy rain washes away contents of their unlatched skulls. Puddles of blood, bits of teeth, fragments of bone, scraps of flesh, and streaks of blonde locks merge with mud.

The younger Lonson knew being a half head taller and having superior equipment meant success against most opponents, yet he was unable to cast aside this feeling of uneasiness. Lonson IV was not most opponents. Slicing through Blue Iron with one swing from a blade made of Silver Iron proved his raw strength was not of this world. Much like last time they were face to face, neither King can speak. The difference this time however, the current King no longer held the desire. Answers to his questions of many years were quite clear. Magic must exist. Clinching his blue hammer, King Lonson VI moves closer to his grandfather. An act he told himself he would never mistakenly do again.

The Elder Lonson rushes forward and takes a swing at the younger Lonsons chest. It fails. The blue blade clangs off the blue hammer. Lonson VI stabs at the legs of Lonson IV with the shaft of his hammer to regain space. Now with his enemy at a perfect range he attempts to smash downwards with a vertical strike. Lonson IV performs a sidestep with significant leaping ability. Direct impact to the earth shakes the entire area. They were equal in skill it seems.

The rain continued to outline the seismic battle. Jensen never thought he would bear witness to a duel between descendents of the ancient Great Giant race. He would likely never see anything like this again. No one would. Because of King Lonson VIs great strategic mind, Jensen believed he would achieve victory, but he also understood who his opponent truly was. The silent duel continues for minutes that seem like hours. Each attack grows in brutality, but never losing technique.

Lonson VI raises his weapon but before he can swing, Lonson IV charges with his shoulder and thrusts into the body of the King of the Public. King Lonson VI trips over the remnants of the twins and begins to fall, but not alone. He holds Lonson IV by the waist, tosses him over, and slams him into the mud and blood filled battlegrounds of the drowning forests, causing them both to drop their weapons.

Ten thousand men are captivated by what is now a fierce battle of fists. Their eyes follow every movement, studying the craft of the warriors. The sounds of massive Blue and Silver Iron gauntlets banging on the armor of the combatants mimic thunder. From their point of view, their King is getting pushed to his limits by an unknown fighter. Yet he continues to fight with the honor of Oates Kingdom in his heart on this expedition of magic.

King Lonson VI lands a powerful forward kick. The elders back hits the stone shack, leaving a few cracks in the structure. Lonson VI sprints towards his opponent. King Lonson IV tucks his Silver Iron helm. Using his grandsons momentum against him, he shoots a headbutt into the stomach of King Lonson VI. The mighty force causes him to fly into the air, landing on top of the twins. The Blue Iron armor around his stomach breaks into pieces leaving chain exposed. Blood springs out of his mouth. His knees meet the ground.

Yet Lonson VI refuses to give up. He can't die. Not now. As his elder begins to approach him, Lonson VI takes hold of Polluxs halved spear. He flings it with the hope that this ends it all. It darts through the would be heart of Lonson IV sending him back to the stone shack. Lonson VI musters enough power to stand.

"KOORAAL!", King Lonson VI hoarsely roars. With the rest of his might, he once again sprints towards his opponent. This time, he uses his entire seven and a half foot frame to vigorously tackle his enemy. They crash through the stone shacks walls.

King Lonson IV lay motionless. King Lonson VI sat up mounted on top the once revived monster. Suddenly a hand graces his shoulder. Before he could turn around he hears the phrase.

"Mestakaloshalo Amarozi Nukuri."
