"You think I'm not aware of that?" Akira scoffed as he sat up, "Every waking moment I'm made aware of the fact that I can no longer go back to my old life. I know I'm dead. I know it better than anyone else that he was the one who pushed me down that day. But I guess I'm just that nice of a guy who can't even be mad at his one and only friend for killing him."
Zaelek shook his head in disappointment as he heard this.
"You're not human. You won't understand it," Akira's words were harsh and they were spoken with contempt. It was the first time he had used such a tone with this man.
For a second there, Zaelek was stunned, wondering if he had heard it wrong.
