Prometheus has stated that the 6th herrscher is near. And it's only a matter of time, so Moth has been surveying the world.
An outbreak of honkai beasts started to appear. Indicating the rise of honkai energy and the herrscher is near.
"Vill, are you sure you want to be a vanguard? The mech would protect you sure, but it's still pretty dangerous you know?" He reminded Vill that fighting is very different from just simulations.
She puffed her chest. "I know... But if I don't even use our creation, then I'm a failure as an inventor." She was unperturbed, her conviction solid.
He sighed and ultimately nodded. "Okay, but don't fight emperor class and above alright? You can wipe out the mobs though." Of course, squad leaders of 4, 5, and 6 also has one. Elysia has the rx-77 for long range artillery, Kevin has the 79 ground type for close combat, and Himeko has the 78 as well but outfitted with more weapons.
They should be fine in protecting Vill. I should prepare as well. He started to wear his suit and equipped the 3rd divine key in gauntlets and greaves form.
"Ein, we're seeing a sudden spike of honkai energy. Look at the coordinates." Mei showed him the map and there was a red bubble on it. Indicating the high amounts of honkai energy.
"Evacuate civies. We don't know what this herrscher can do, the 5th was a disaster. The location is still a tundra right now, even though we tried taking out the honkai energy with the 4th divine key." He looked at the map and started to psych himself up.
Fuuu. I just wish we could end this quickly. We're losing ground, and we're only at the 6th.
Finally, a honkai eruption happened as all alarms on the base resounded. Every soldier sortied as they quickly go to the location.
"Well, let's get this over with." He flew to the location quickly as he broke the sound barrier.
He arrived at the location and there was nothing there but ruined buildings. Even honkai beasts aren't there. Except a lone girl with short dark blue hair and a bright underside.
She looked at him and he saw a strange glowing tattoo on her chest that looked like a circle.
"A human." She smiled so wide it almost split her face. "I wondered why there were no humans in this place when I awakened... But at least, there's still one here. We're going to have so much fun." She laughed like a maniac.
He prepared for combat as he waited for an attack. He doesn't want to get blindsided after all.
The herrscher attacked with a black projectile as he dodged it easily. He countered with his own throw as it pierced her on the chest easily. And a lightning bolt hit her right on.
He willed his spear back to him as he waited for the dust to settle. She had her skin burnt almost black, and a huge hole on her chest was flowing blood like a fountain.
"Hehehe. HAHAHAHA!" Her wounds started to regenerate at an absurd rate. It looked like time was rewinding on her.
"Nice attack human. You're not normal are you? Then, I guess we'll have more fun than I thought." Tons of black projectiles appeared and pelted him from all sides. He either dodged or parried them with his great sword and backed away.
Whatever those black things are, they don't do anything to inorganic materials. But I sure don't want to get hit by that.
He then went behind her as he slashed her from head to tail. Slicing her in half vertically and a thick beam of lightning roasted her.
Charging up his gun he also fired a beam that exploded. Electricity arcing everywhere and plasma glassed the surroundings.
She was basically fine and started to regenerate again. "Fufufu~ you're so violent~ Ahhh. It makes me feel so good!" Black wings started to appear on her back that looked like convoluted lines.
He frowned. This herrscher is not normal, she's a goddamned sadist and masochist in one. He turned the weapon into gauntlets as he appeared under her. Giving an uppercut on her chin as her head exploded from the immense force and energy it gave.
He immediately tried to pierce her chest but she held on to his hand and a black fog bursted out of her pierced chest. His hand started to disintegrate as he quickly pulled it out and pushed her with an immense telekinetic force.
His hand started to slowly disintegrate up to his forearms as he frowned. So her power is cellular regeneration and disintegration.
"Did you like that!? You tried to touch a maiden's chest. It's only natural right~" She laughed boisterously. A thick black fog started to encompass the area as he retreated.
"Tch, damn this fog. How could I fucking do this!? She regenerates like crazy, and my attacks do jack shit." He tried to regenerate his arms, but it was completely gone as it didn't even start to heal up.
Damn, I'm in quite a pickle. He started to throw his weapon with his left hand. As it rained lightning all over her position, the mist was dispersed a bit but it quickly returned and slowly expanded.
"Sorry, but I need to make adjustments. I'm sure playing with you is the best, but I want to start from the bottom." She flew to a different area as he tried to shoot her down.
"Mei! This is an emergency! evacuate everyone in the battlefield in a thousand mile radius! The farther the better!" He quickly made a comm as Mei instantly informed every soldier to evacuate everyone as much as they can.

In another battle field. Vill and the squad captains were leading a battalion of soldiers as they quickly decimated the honkai beasts with overwhelming firepower.
"With Ein and Vill's mech. This is so much easier!" Elysia shouted as her shoulder mounted cannons killed another templar.
Kevin slashed a chariot in half as he nodded. "Yeah, we'd be in worse condition if we don't have the mechs."
Himeko just rained hell fire with her rifle in one hand and slashed the beasts to pieces with her beam sword. "This is so nice. We're going to have a better time with these around."
Vill laughed as she dual wielded beam rifles and killed tons of seraphs. "Haha! I told you Ein. These mobs are no match for our creations."
They then suddenly received a message from Mei to evacuate as far as they could. "Why would Dr. Mei tell us that?" Hua asked her captain.
Himeko frowned. "I don't know. But it must be serious stuff if she told us to evacuate, Ein must be having a titanic fight and we'll be swept up."
Then the ground rumbled. As gigantic crystal structures started to appear. "What the hell is that?" A soldier spoke as they stared at it.
It slowly cracked as it glowed brightly. "I have a bad feeling about this! Everyone retreat! That thing is dangerous!" Kevin immediately picked up as much soldiers as he can and started to run away.
Everybody started to run as much as they can but it was already too late. The crystal shattered with a blinding light enveloping everyone. A humanoid shaped crystal construct appeared, with crystal prisms floating around it.
The mechs started to deploy their emergency shields that could block a nuclear blast as they held their ground to let the soldiers retreat.
The honkai crystal beast that was at least 20 meters tall roared as the crystals orbiting it glowed. It evaded the shields of the mechs as it started mowing down the soldiers. Suits and all.
The surroundings started to crystalize as everyone ran for their lives. "Hua! Go! We'll try to hold on as much as we can! Just go! Save as many as you can!" Himeko shouted at Hua.
She gritted her teeth and immediately ran while carrying wounded. Never looking back, as she saw soldiers that were running with her got vaporized by the lasers.
Elysia immediately rained down artillery fire on it and the others fired a barrage of beams and bullets with all they could. Everything bounced like rubber bullets hitting steel.
With the help of the neural implants, they could preemptively dodge as much as they can. But they started to get worn down as the lasers hit them.
"We can't keep this up! We have to run away now!" Elysia shouted at the top of her lungs.
Kevin looked at the soldiers and they were already gone. "We retreat now!" Elysia gave cover fire, targeting the floating crystals as everyone ran.
A huge particle beam rained down on the honkai beast as they ran for their lives. "Quick! Let's escape before that thing starts to recover. And by the looks of it, it's not going to be long." Himeko looked at it. The being was slowly overpowering the beam as it deflected it. Causing mass destruction on the surroundings.
It tried to look for the transgressors but it found none. It floated, then flew to a nearby city where the soldiers were frantically evacuating civilians.
Mei sighed in relief as she quickly ordered an orbital strike. At least they survived. "Dr. Mobius, that thing isn't an ordinary honkai beast. It's very strong." She frowned.
Mobius nodded as she looked at it in interest. "There might be a new class of honkai beast. But it is extremely strong, I wish it'd get taken care of quickly."
Mei then went silent. "We'll call it Mahesvara. The great lord, it certainly fits." As they saw it float and quickly went to another area. Ein, we need you to handle the herrscher. Please, or this thing would spiral out of control.
