It’s never good news to hear knocks on your door in the early morning hours.

The rasp of the knuckles against the door had this solemn acknowledgment that I would remember for days to come.

It was a normal day, the 6th of October, the early morning breeze of autumn sung across the trees as people hurried to work and children hurrying to get to school on time.

However this day was the day everything changed
