WW2, the bloodiest war in history, concluded with the liberation of German-occupied territories, and the invasion of Germany by the Western Allies and the Soviet Union, culminating in the fall of Berlin to Soviet troops, Hitler's suicide and the German unconditional surrender on 8 May 1945. Following the Potsdam Declaration by the Allies on 26 July 1945 and the refusal of Japan to surrender on its terms, the United States dropped the first atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima, on 6 August, and Nagasaki, on 9 August. Faced with an imminent invasion of the Japanese archipelago, the possibility of additional atomic bombings, and the Soviet entry into the war against Japan and its invasion of Manchuria, Japan announced its intention to surrender on 15 August, then signed the surrender document on 2 September 1945, cementing total victory in Asia for the Allies.
2020 - Corona virus epidemic breaks out, killing over seven million people; is eventually absorbed into the common cold, making it common but relatively harmless.
2056 - Iran actively declares war on the US, and is struck with a single hydrogen bomb, killing over five million, nearly a twentieth of its population.
2057 - Iran's allies begin attacking the US (which includes Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Iraq), while Saudia Arabia, and other enemies of Iran or allies of the US begin attacking Iran.
2061 - World War Three officially starts.
2067 - Five 'dirty' bombs (primitive atomic bombs) are used on the US, and one on Russia, while Iran takes seven hydrogen bombs, Syria takes two, and Iraq takes three, killing over fifty million worldwide.
2076 - A nuclear war has erupted, with atomic weapons being flung everywhere. Over one billion people died immediately, leaving only about 8.6 billion people left worldwide. Smarter/richer countries begin building bunkers and evacuating into existing ones.
2089 - Over a hundred worldwide bunkers are built; people are evacuated into the nearest, unfilled bunker, then removed from worldwide population number and moved to bunker population number.
2099 - All bunkers worldwide have 2.16 billion people in them, with 3.7 billion people left outside.
2106 - Almost every nuclear or chemical weapon worldwide has been used, with 2.3 billion people in bunkers and 1.1 billion outside.
2115 - Every person outside the bunkers is presumed dead.
2143 - Swedish bunkers, working together, develop advanced technology capable of assembling building pieces, disassembling them, and breaking apart the ground efficiently for materials.
2169 - The Swedish inventions are refined, creating advanced tools vital for industry.
2191 - The radiation outside has been deemed survivable, if people have proper protection.
2245 - Civilization is being rebuilt on the surface.
2278 - A new government, centered around the US, Canada, Greenland, and Scotland is formed, uniting most survivors of WW3 together, forming the United Terran Peace Bringers, or the UTPB.
2299 - A second power emerges from Iranian survivors, fighting against the Terran UTPB.
2321 - The Iranian power is suppressed without use of anything more powerful than a small fragmentation bomb.
2367 - Railguns, advanced rockets, and advanced spacecraft thrusters are developed.
2469 - Full world order and peace is established, and humanity is thriving again, with a worldwide population of 5.9 billion.
2659 - The first inter stellar colony ship is launched, marking a new era in human history, and one of peace and prosperity.
2682 - WW3 is but a dark memory, and few people remember it from legacy, and most knowledge of it is from partially redacted records.
2685 - Our story begins...
