For so long, my brother used to tell me that I didn't know how to read people. My answer was always like, "why do I need to?"
My brother would laugh and then pull me to the side and explain to me how important it is that I do. While homeschooled, being with Mrs. Kaden, my parents, Pete and Petra, I didn't think it was important to know how to.
"When I am in school, I have to learn how to read people so as I know when and when not to bother them." He could say.
"You mean, you only want to know how to read people so as you can bother them?" I would ask.
"No, Brenda. That is not it. I am just giving you an example of me in school. There are so many occasions that would arise in the future that will need you to." He would pause and wait to see if I am serious.
"Mmh."
"Brenda, I am serious." My brother would insist.
