The smirk on her face tells me she doesn't believe me. Well, I don't believe myself either.
"Let us go," I say and grab her hand. I don't know what came over me, but I just did. She looks at our connected hand and then at me. She raises her eyebrows and I just shrug.
I might as well use this opportunity to do the things I have never done, it is not like I will die or something like that.
I lock my office and we head to the lift. Waiting for it to open, I touch my pocket and when I find it is not there, I look back at the closed door and then back at the lift and shrug. I can stay a night without my phone it is not like it helps me with anything.
The lift opens, I allow her to enter first and she once again raises her eyebrows at me.
"Hey, in here we allow the guest to get first-class treatment," I say with a sly smile.
