The first thing Alan saw when he opened his eyes was a decrepit old table with a single candle. He also noticed that he was in complete darkness. This darkness was so pitch black you couldn't even see more than a few centimetres in front of you. Looking down he also noticed how he could clearly see his own body and the chair he was sitting in. Strangely he could feel his feet touching the floor but could not see anything making contact with his feet.
''Where am I! You gangster where did you take me! Don't think you can do this I'll kill you when I find you.'' Alan started to threaten the gangster that knocked him out. Not that he could do anything against him, but it was the only thing keeping him sane.
He kept screaming until his throat started hurting and became more silent. After a good 30 minutes he finally stopped making noise. Thinking nobody was coming made Alan relax a little as this meant he would at least have a couple more hours before the mob killed him. If he was lucky that is, if he was unlucky, he wasn't dying anytime soon.
Sitting in silence for what seemed like hours he started to get bored as he had nothing to do except looking at a nothing flickering flame. When he was just about to start losing his mind to boredom a strange phenomenon happened right in front of him.
The space in front of him started to split and the void started to get even darker. Alan was so scared he couldn't even scream. A couple of seconds later a hand stuck through it with an arm and body following.
In front of Alan was an absolute monster. Being over two meters tall with a dark red skin colour and majestic horns poking out of its head. Its hands had claw-like fingernails and his canines were overgrown. Looking at this being made Alan feel fear on a level he didn't know he could feel but, at the same time he also felt awe like it was a being that he should immediately start to worship.
''Have you finally shut up?'' The monster spoke with a voice that made every pore on Alan's body start to excrete sweat. Just the pure volume of it would make the average person feel faint.
''W-who are you!?'' Alan was freaking out thinking he was going to die. ''Me? I'm the devil of course.'' The monster said with a wide smile on his face that showed his frightening teeth. All of them were frighteningly sharp and there were multiple rows of them. It was almost like they belonged to a shark.
''T-the devil?'' Alan was terrified but tried to put on a tough front. This was seen through easily though as his voice was quivering. ''Haha! don't be so scared, I won't bite. I didn't bring you here to punish you. If anything, I brought you here for a reward.'' The devil tried to make himself sound like an ally to Alan, but Alan wasn't buying it. The devil isn't exactly known for his rewards after all.
''R-reward?'' Just the idea of a reward from the devil made him terrified. 'This cannot possibly be anything good it is probably a lifetime of torture or something.' ''Yes, don't be so scared it's not a lifetime of torture and yes, before you ask, I did read your mind.''
The devil just dropped a massive bomb like it was nothing and continued with his explanation leaving Alan speechless. ''Good, finally you're silent. Now if you speak without being told to, I will give you that lifetime of torture you so wish for. I don't have all day after all.'' The devil said with a sinister smile.
Actually, even if Alan wanted to say something he wouldn't be able to as his vocal cords got sealed and he couldn't even make a sound. Still, he wasn't going to risk it.
''Okay, so I will try to keep this short as I don't have all day and I doubt you want to sit here all day either. A god made a world a couple of eons ago and I recently noticed that there was an extreme lack of evil on the planet. There are monsters there, but they are all just mindless beasts and not evil per se.'' The devil started talking about something that happened so long-ago Alan wasn't even able to comprehend the life span of these being let alone their actions.
''Anyway, after seeing the lack of evil I decided it would be a promising idea to send a demon into that world and see if it could corrupt the world. You know a fun pastime and good thing to bet on with some of my subordinates. And after looking through the many people who died in the worlds, I finally picked you. You are just pure evil and lust after all and that is exactly what I am looking for.'' The devil seemed to be strangely chatty. Perhaps he just hadn't talked to anyone in a long time.
''So, what I am going to give you is another chance at life. You can even live it like you always wanted, raping all the girls you could possibly want. All that you will have to do is corrupt the world at your own pace. It doesn't even matter how you do it even if do it through politics, religion, pure strength, or any other way.''
''I'll even give you a system to give you a fighting chance against some of the world's strongest advisories. So, are there any questions?'' The devil said with a smile that reminded Alan of an insurance salesperson. This smile did not help Alan gain any confidence in this deal so he asked the only thing of which he could think. ''Can I reject?''
The only thing Alan could see before everything going black was the devil starting to laugh loudly. ''Of course not! You can only be my tool to win back my money!''
