Thousands and Thousands of years ago there was a sword with the power to destroy anything. Zygote, was crafted by the creator's of the world and was fallen into the wrong hands after a terrible war. The gods and the mortal realm were at war because humans were selfish and wanted the power of creation.
The humans came out "somehow" victorious because the gods didn't want to fight anymore. Zygote was dropped and fell into the hands of a demon king. The gods found this problematic and decided to send a hero to destroy it due to its immense and irregular magic contents.
Finally the legendary hero lancelot destroyed the sword cumbling it into dust letting the magic contents release into the air. The legend says that the magic is still somewhere and unaccounted for.
But, this is the story of a normal boy wanting to learn magic or so he thought...
I grew up a common life living outside the kingdom in a cottage. My parents were poor but happy, we often ate soup and bread. when I was 7 I started to hunt in the enchanted forest behind my abode.
The enchanted forest was filled with beasts that had exponential power. Dragons that could take out houses with a huff, Minotaurs that can destroy walls in a charge, and giant snakes that could destroy an entire town! None the less I wanted to hunt in the forest, my mother was against it.
She was always talking about *ohh thats dangerous* or *oh you could get hurt*.
We sat down at the table. The silence was enough to tell me no, mom said "Fafnir you can't go out to that forest You are seven years old don't throw yourself into danger like that."
"Mother I think I am capable of going in the Forest without papa anymore." Mom replyed "Just because you are good with a weapon doesn't mean you should go on your own." I was getting pissed does she even believe in me I felt a small relief when papa came in the room.
"What is the arguing about?" Mom said "Fafnir wants to go in the woods by himself!" Waiting there for papa to take her side. Papa said "And whats the big deal, I feel he has grown strong enough to enter those woods."
Mother was shell shocked "but what happens if he runs into a magical beast." "Thats a what if, that doesn't mean it will happen. Fafnir I believe in you and think that you are capable of a lot but don't go to deep. Make me and mother proud." "Yes sir!"
Finally, this is awesome I can't believe papa believes in me so much! I finished my soup and went out hunting with my trusty bow and arrow as well as a small pocket knife I made. I burst out my door looking at the forest thinking I can conquer the world.
I rush into the forest going deeper and deeper, more than I'm supposed to. The adrenaline pumping through my blood is insane, breezing past the first Part I stopped at a little spot surrounded by trees. All this running made me so exhausted, I felt a sharp pain in my chest.
After a couple of moment's I collapsed. I couldn't feel anything, lying there lifeless. My vision was so blurred up I could practically be blind but the air around me changed. Something was off and my intuition is never wrong. I could only move my head but to my right was a giant beast, I couldn't make out what it was.
I could feel its aura, man was it was powerful. All of a sudden it paused in its place and roared. It roared so loud that trees started to fall and ripped out of the ground. After a couple seconds it stopped and stomped toward me. I was trying and trying, but I couldn't move anything.
I lost hope and accepted my fate thinking about my parents. Tears rolling down my face, before losing my full vision I saw a person in this fog. It looked like a small boy almost like me but I blacked out.
It was quite some time before I woke up. I couldn't beleive it, I was in my home. I could've sworn I was about to die. What was that thing. It must've saved me, he must've saved me. My mom came over to me "how are you feeling?" "I don't know I feel fine, how did I get home?"
My mom looked confused and said "you walked in yourself , ignored us then passed out in your bed." That can't be true I was unconscious and couldn't move. "ohh haha sorry..." "it's okay just tell me if something is wrong" "ok."
My mom left the room and I was just lying there. I have no idea what is or was happening, it's very unsettling that I am not hurt. This is no doubt the work of that person but how ? It's not like he can take controll of my body or brain wash people. This is very strange...
I got up to get a cup of water, after all what happened I was parched. I grabbed a wooden cup and scooped into the barrel, I held it up to my lips an- "Don't drink that..." WHAT? wait was that in my head. "look at the well" I put down the cup and looked at the well out back.
Eww what's that stench. No way there is a rotting monster corpse in it ! I ran inside and my mom was about to drink a cup to I grabbed a knife from the counter out of instinct and threw like I was a pro.
It flew through the air and pierced the cup with so much force that it stuck to the wall. My mom yelled " Fafnir what are you doing!" I said "mom just listen I have a good reason.." "yeah right you have a good reason" she said mockingly. " go to you room!" "But mom I swear, please"
Mom said "No I don't wanna hear another word go-" Dad chimed in "Honey settle down, why Fafnir?" Mom was angry " why are you taking his side I-" dad yelled " I said knock it off!" She got quiet real fast. "so Fafnir why did you throw the knife." "here follow me." we walked out to the well approaching it, father said "my my whats that fowl smell" pinching his nose.
We peered into the well seeing the dead rotting carcus. Mother was in shock to see she could have gotten sick if it weren't for me. Dad asked " hey fafnir, how did you know about this?" I stood there for a good minute not knowing what to say. There was no way I could tell him about the voice, no way.
"Oh I smelled it from here haha" Dad raised his eyebrows and let out a sigh. "Fafnir you should have just told me that, thanks for letting us know I'll have to get someone down here to clean it out."
Mom looked at me with a tear in her eye "Fafnir I'm sorry, I really am. I feel like a selfish mother and I have no right to be called one." she busted out into tears, father looked at me and walked away.
I go over to mom and hugged her "it's fine mom I understand it can be frustrating and scary but you have to start trusting me on things." she nodded and slowed down her sobbing, we both then walked into the house. I sat down on my bead and began to plot.
why were these things happening to me. Why was there a voice in my head and why was I able to throw that knife so well. I needed answers and so I decided to do some investigated journalism.
Everyday I would go out into the forest and time and time again it didn't happen to me. I tried throwing those knives again but was terrible at it. I never got one of those voices again since that day.
I gave up a couple months of doing that and it wouldnt work. I got bored so I stared to train and train. Everyday was training for mage and combat skills, going into the forests and decimating low level creatures and bosses. I did this for 5 years and by age 12 I had muscles and was incredible in mana. I ate breakfast, boar meat. Since I started to go out and such I brought back a lot of food.
I went out and started my daily training, kicking trees, running a marathon, and practicing swordsmenship which I was surprisingly good at. I went out deeper into the forest than usual and stumbled upon the same sensation 5 years ago.
I dropped to the floor and my body ached struggling with any ounce of strength that I had left with no prevail. The stomping and the roaring it all happened again but this time, it was different.
