This story is based off the actual Island 'Snake Island' off the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean.

Luiza Ferrarez had nothing to do for the summer, until one of her parents rich friend, who's name is Nathair Sharp, invited them on a cruise. He was the Captain and Luiza's parents trust that he wouldn't crash the ship into an iceberg or something like that.
But the thing is, the ship leaves from where Luiza is, Florida, to Brazil.
Luiza didn't like how they would be cruising around for 2 weeks and a half on a ship. That was a scary thing to her. They packed their things and drove to where the cruise ship was going to be. She saw how Captain Nathair was welcoming everyone, including a boy that looked to be around her age (15) with his parents. He and his family were probably invited too.
Luiza and her parents greeted Nathair but She had a strange feeling when she shook his hand. It was like her gut told her to be cautious. As everyone got on the ship, which was huge by the way, it took off. Luiza realized that it was actually pretty cool to being doing this over break because she would be able to tell all her friends she went on a cruise with some rich people, not implying that her parent's aren't rich. Luiza decided to have some fun and changed into something and scare away the birds that are resting on the railing on the top floor. While doing so she bumped into the boy she saw earlier. He introduced himself as Griffin Sanders.
They both shook hands and thought it would be fun to sneak around the ship. When they were sneaking around they overheard the Captain and Griffin's step father talking. It sounded like a different language. Luiza and Griffin left and said their goodbyes before going to bed.
It's been like this for 17 days. They both had fun chasing birds, sneaking around and eating the delicious food. But also tend to eavesdrop on the captain and Griffin's step fathers (Gerald Jenkins) conversations, which they can not understand one bit. It sounded like gibberish to them. But on the eighteenth day something bad happened. Suddenly in the middle of the night Griffin was shaken awake. He ran out of his room and on to the top deck. Turns out the ship is sinking… but for no reason? He saw people panicking. Griffin's mother came out to see what was happening and what she saw left her speechless. She Told Griffin to go find his friend and her parents. He didn't want to leave his mother but he did as told.
Luiza was scared because she didn't know where her parents were. They told her they would be having dinner with a bunch of rich people including the captain and Gerald. She ran around the ship frantically looking for her parents but had no luck. Then she bumped into someone and fell. She looked and saw Griffin. Luiza helped Griffin up and asked him if he could help her find her parents but Griffin told her there was no time so He grabbed Luiza's hand and dragged her. Luiza tried to make him let go.
The ship was sinking faster and faster. They both looked out into the ocean and saw both their parents on a small boat with the captain. It broke their hearts, 'how could they leave us like that?…' was what they were both thinking. Luiza turned around and saw one last boat left. She called over Griffin and they both got on a reeled it down. Right as they started paddling the boat, Griffin noticed a wave coming closer. It was a huge wave. Griffin tapped Luiza's shoulder and she was scared for her life. There was no point in padding, they knew what would happen next. They said their goodbyes and shook hands, but they held onto each other.
Luiza felt the cold waves hit her body and that was the last thing she ever felt.
Just kidding. Not kidding.
No really just kidding :)
Griffin woke up to the sunlight hurting his eyes. He got up and realized that he was on an Island. He didn't know what to do but then he heard someone coughing a few feet away from him. He recognized them as Luiza. He ran up to her and made sure she was okay, they hugged, just being thankful that they had each other. They started walking seeing if there was anything around them to help. That's when LuÃza heard something move in the bushes. She asked Griffin if he heard it but claimed he didn't.
Luiza got kind of scared but had to put on a tough face so Griffin doesn't think she's a big baby. Griffin thought it was cute that she did that, but he knows she is a strong person. A few hours pass by and they both decided to gather some things to at least last the night. They were walking when they saw something in the trees they got closer to it and saw a treehouse. God were they lucky.
Or were they?
Just kidding.
Luiza was skeptical but Griffin just didn't want to sleep on sand and dirt. He went up the ladder on the side of the treehouse and saw, thankfully, no one.
(Dialogue starts here)
"Hey Luiza, there's no up here!
We-" Griffin got cut off by the annoyed girl.
"Keep it down Griffin" she whispered yelled.
They climbed up, assuming someone must have abandoned it. Luiza sat down at the edge of the entrance, her legs dangling. Griffin sat next to her.
"Are you okay?" He asked out of nowhere.
Luiza didn't expect him to ask that and definitely didn't have an answer. Was she okay?
"I'm fine." Was her response.
He had a response ready, "you know, my mom said that once…"
"And?"
"And she broke a chair over my dads head." He said not even having the slightest look of concern on his face. Luiza on the other hand had face that said, 'wut'. They both laid back and admired the stars through the broken roof. He reached for her hand, which was very cold. As much as that would make a girl blush, she looked away not wanting him to see. Griffin and Luiza spent the night talking about zodiac signs, that lead them to finding out that they are both Capricorn's, and talking about food. They were still holding hands.
"Griffin, I'm glad that you're here with me. If I'm being honest If you weren't here I'd be lost and crying right now. Well… we are lost but that's not the point. My point is, thank you for not leaving without me on that ship." She said almost tearing up but quickly got rid of it. Griffin was processing every word she said. He noticed she had a bit of an English accent, but it's faint.
"'Well, Audrey Hepburn once said 'The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.' And I agree. People say she was an inspiring women. But you, your like the most Swaggy-est person I have ever met." He said trying to get a laugh out of her, it did.
Griffin response wasn't what Luiza expected, but even better.
He loved to see her happy, especially at times like this. But he was about to do something that would probably ruin that. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips. Luiza froze for a second or two but then kissed him back. They pulled away and stared into each other's eyes.
"You know we haven't gathered anything at all yet?" She asked. He just giggled and fell back on the treehouse floor. Luiza did has well, on her side facing him. They fell asleep peacefully that night. But Luiza swore she could hear hissing.
Luiza woke up to the loudest hissing she has ever seen. She looked outside the treehouse and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw snakes all over the ground. "Holy shit!" that woke up Griffin. "What?" He then looked down and saw his life dash before his eyes. "Well we're going to die." Griffin said which earned a slap on the arm from Luiza.
She suddenly had an idea. She noticed rope hanging from the the tree house. She cut it off afraid a snake would be able to slither up it. She handed one end of the rope to Griffin and held on to the other end. She told him to tie it to a strong branch. Griffin was confused as ever.
"What the hell are you doing?" He asked as he tied the rope to the branch.
"Just shut up and do as I say, I'll tell you when I'm ready." She said without looking at him.
Luiza looked at him and he asked, "can I know now?"
She nodded, "yeah… Tarzan style bitch!" She then jump and swung to another tree with the other end of the rope in her hand.
"AHHH WHAT THE FUCK" Griffin yelled as she almost gave him a heart attack.
(Dialogue ends here)
She threw it back at him. And he hesitated but did so as well. Luiza and Griffin made it to where there weren't anymore snakes and decided to keep walking, as long as they were away from the snake grounds. Little did they know…
