Chapter 1 - ch 1

I woke up. I tried opening my eyes to see where I was but I was faced with complete darkness.

My mind was hazy and I couldn't remember anything.

'Who am I? Where am I?'All sorts of questions were being formed in my head. As I couldn't get an answer right now I tried to stop thinking about it.

I tried moving my body but to no avail, that was when I realized that I was surrounded by some sort of material. There was no opening for air and the space was extremely tight and uncomfortable. It felt as if my body was being crashed, it hurt a lot.

Shocked, I panicked and put all of my strength in trying to get out but still nothing.

I tried to calm myself and then examined the material. It was slightly rough and elastic but had no particular smell. I then tried scratching it with my nails but as I tried to, I realized I didn't have a single nail on my fingers!

'What the hell…'

I was taken aback

'Why do I have no nails? Did someone take them out? What is happening?'

But that didnt really matter that much right now, I could always grow out new ones and although it felt a bit weird when touching, it didn't really hurt.

What really mattered now was getting out of this hell and if I didn't have nails I could always use teeth. (Weird thought process but ok 0.0)

After what felt like an eternity I finally managed to get out, it was dark outside but unlike back in that space I could see, though faintly.

Curious as to what that weird death chamber looked like, I turned around

It seems I was in a garbage bag…

Flabbergasted, I stood still for a while. While I was staring at the bag, a foul smell entered my nose which pulled me back to reality and made me instantly frown.

It was a mix of dead fish, rot and urine as well as some other stench that I couldn't quite identify, it smelled horrible

After lightly stretching my arms and legs, I looked around. The room I was in was filled with garbage bags and broken machines, the walls were made of brick and there was no lighting, with the only light provider being the half moon that illuminated through the broken ceiling.

Rats were wondering around the trash making scratching noises.

It was scary and smelled awful, I wanted to get out as soon as possible but I refrained from doing so. It was scary but I needed to look for clues about my current situation.

Who was I? What happened to me? I needed to know

Looking around with my hand covering my nose I return to the bag

As I got close to the other bags that were close the stretch grew stronger, it was repulsive so I searched around the bags more hastily

I found nothing so I decided to look around

There probably was nothing that would give me an answer inside those bags so I didn't open them

At the corner of the walls I could see a small structure that looked like an office of some sort

As I was getting closer, the weird stench that I had smelt earlier and couldn't identify was getting stronger and stronger.

A scary thought formed in my head but I quickly brushed it off.

Whatever was in there could be a clue and I wasn't going to miss on a clue to my past just because I was scared, I needed to know why I was here. I felt like I must know

I opened the door slowly and the stench filled my nostrils.

In front of me lied a lifeless body of a man with a huge hole in his chest.

His dried blood and intestines were splattered all over the walls, it seemed to have been left like this for weeks as its skin looked rotten and eaten out. It looked gruesome.

Sitting on a chair, its lifeless eyes stared right at me.

Cold sweat dropped down my forehead as I stared at the man. I couldn't muster a single thought. Panicked, I tried to move but my legs wouldn't.

"mmph-"

I put my hands on my mouth and tried to hold it but couldn't. I threw up uncontrollably. I felt sick and my head hurt.

'What…what is that… what happened?'

This wasn't the time to think. What if the people who did this were still here, what would happen to me?

With shaking legs I desperately ran out of the office and through the trash with all of my strength towards where I guessed the entry gate would be.

There was a large metal door that was fortunately left open. Without giving it much thought I ran out hurriedly.

How was it? This was the first chapter I ever wrote(ofcourse after editing it a few times) so I hope it was good

BIG QUESTION: Should I leave that much of a gap between paragraphs(if you can call these 'paragraphs') or should it be shorter? This gap is better for phones as leaving a single gap doesn't separate them but it looks kinda weird on pc (at least as I see it on inkstone).
