Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: Palace

Never did Xariya imagine having a burden in the town of Knight.

She has no notion about why Prince Silas selected her other than a woman with royal blood. Why her? There are a fraction of nobles in the city of Knight; women that have adequate life than Xariya. Royalties belong to the royalties.

Xariya stood up dauntlessly before Prince Silas. "I can't, Prince Silas."

She withheld with the taught that she can't circumvent. Everything that the royalties announce, is already final. No one can back out from the crisis. Everything from the royalties is a definitive decision.

Xariya confided the Prince her justification and she can't give his wish from her. It is all about her grandmother. Not until Xariya found herself concurring with the Prince's proposal; To give her grandmother a decent and ordinary life. Prince Silas will make sure of Xariya's grandmother's security.

A servant of Prince Silas went inward the room to get Xariya to send her to the room that was leased for her alone. She wandered her eyes around the room and she concedes that it truly is decent and looking so good. She feels like she exists as noble.

The servant then handed Xariya clothes that she can wear. "Call me when you need something, Lady Xariya." Lili, the servant, bowed her head before Xariya with full of respect that made her squint for a second.

Lady Xariya, huh? Xariya mentally chuckled at the thought. She is new to this.

Xariya sauntered towards the window and hover the place. She is presently in a palace. A palace of King Apollo and Queen Maliyiea. They are the ruler that is recognized worldwide. Everyone knows the ruler of the town of Knight.

Xariya articulates an enormous sigh whilst gazing outside the palace. "I have to see grandma before the dawn," she instructed herself with conviction. Yes, she must. She constantly pledges to herself to see her grandmother before the sunrise of tomorrow.

On the other hand, Prince Silas was called for dinner. Their family invariably retain dinner together, or even in the breakfast and lunch. Their relationship as a family is tough that if somebody verges to ravage their connection, she or he would have an extremely arduous time to do so. Their relationship is adequately built that it cannot be smashed effortlessly.

"Where is Lady Xariya?" King Apollo asked his younger son, Prince Silas. Everyone was already sat in their perspective areas; King Apollo, Queen Maliyiea, Prince Adonis as the elder, and Prince Levi in the mid.

Prince Silas flickered. "I... I will call her."

Royals at one table glimpsed at each other because of what the young prince said. They can't speculate why the prince did not even fetch Lady Xariya from her room. And what? They wouldn't allow Xariya to eat after seizing her from the city of Narcissu?

"Lili," Prince Levi lifted his hand to call the servant who came shortly. "Go and call Lady Xariya for dinner."

The servant Lili gently bent her back to bow with honor. "Yes, Prince Levi."

Xariya was presently preparing her room ready when the servant Lili called her. The servant leads the way to the dining hall. Upon getting inside, Xariya automatically bowed her head down to indicate honor to the rulers. She cannot look straight at their eyes.

"Good evening, King Apollo, Queen Maliyiea, Prince..." Xariya halted from bobbing her head numerous times as she thought that she doesn't recognize who the other two princes were, she just knew Prince Silas. "P-Prince," she stammered and was approximately to continue when Prince Silas went near her to steer her.

"Prince Adonis and Prince Levi," Prince Silas merely said and motioned Xariya the direction and the seat where she would settle in; beside Prince Silas'.

Xariya apologetically sauntered in and sat on her seat. Prince Levi then smiled at Xariya to make her feel prosperous. Their family likes Xariya from the start; before seizing Xariya from her place, they already finalized every inch of things. The least needed is Xariya's existence in their palace. Tomorrow the ruler would declare Xariya as Prince Silas' fiancee and will get married soonest.

For sure, the news will make a noise. Everyone has been loitering for Prince Silas to have his spouse. It is already normal for somebody to think differently about the coming news. Some will agree, and some won't. But that isn't valuable anymore. The thing is Prince Silas must have someone with him; from the rules of every ruler. Royalties have to get married before the age of 20.

Without the notice of Xariya, she doesn't know that she is recognized not only in the Narcissu but furthermore in the town of Knight; it is because she is not frightened to disarray with anyone who also messes with her. She is a dignified woman. Everyone knows that she and her grandmother feels hostility towards the town of Knight because Narcissu suffers caused by the royal blood. The King and Queen, ruler of the town of Knight loved the personality of Xariya. She is fearless enough to confront everything.

Xariya is still unaware of why she was the one who got picked for Prince Silas. In the depth of the dinner, everyone is silent. Xariya doesn't want to converse with them. It is because she is ashamed and doesn't know how to bring a conversation along.

"Lady Xariya," Prince Adonis waddled towards Xariya while they were in a lengthy corridor. Lili, the servant that was leading the way Xariya to go back to her room tilted her head to the two before she fled to give seclusion.

"Prince Adonis," Xariya bowed her head before the prince.

"Go with me, we're getting on to the hall," Prince Adonis said with his calm tone. Xariya somewhat agreed by bouncing her head even though she is skeptical for a moment. Just like what is anticipated, as they infiltrated the hall, the rulers were already setting themselves to their perspective areas.

Xariya went to her seat beside Prince Silas. The royal family is quiet for juncture until King Apollo spoke. "Tomorrow, an exhibition will be held. We will introduce you to everyone here in the town of Knight." King Apollo was looking after Xariya.

Xariya can't oppose. She just asked about why SHE. She doesn't determine the reason is why she is chosen. Prince Levi accordingly began to confide her everything; from the start until the present.

Xariya's round eyes broadened. She can't believe it! She doesn't know that the town of Knight is a simp over her; hatred and likeness. Most of the royal blood doesn't like her for disliking their city, and for being defiant towards some royalties. Yet, the clan of rulers; King Apollo and Queen Maliyiea likes her. No one and nothing couldn't change their mind for assigning her.

Midnight came and Xariya can't yet sleep in her room. She tried to sleep in every posture that can enable her to have a nap, but her thoughts doesn't always let her. Her mind is being colonized with the ideas of her grandmother. She doesn't know what is going on with her at the current time.

Xariya decided to get out of her room and go outside. Servant Lili abruptly appeared to her spectacle. "Do you need anything, Lady Xariya?" Lili implored in her calmest tone. Lili's actions are so smooth and soft that can earn a respect from everyone.

Xariya felt her gravelly throat. "Uh... I would like to go outward."

Servant Lili plop a beam on her rims. "I can guide you, Lady Xariya."

Xariya bounced her head and allow servant Lili to lead their way. Serenity is what we depict in the palace of the emperors. Everything is in unity. Everywhere you go, in different avenues of the town of Knight, you can heed nothing but stillness alone. Everyone is reliable enough. Royalties are considerate and know their place — rights.

"Where are you going?"

In awe, Prince Silas halted their way. The Prince looks like he just got on to somewhere. Servant Lili stayed silent, letting Xariya talk to him.

"I want to go to my grandmother." Xariya is full of morale and she is so courageous to mumble that. She gets stamina from her grandmother and when it comes to her, she is not reluctant to commit everything. Her grandmother who didn't quit on her is her everything.

Xariya's parents leave their small town, Narcissu, with no bestowed justification. Her parents left her when she was just a tiny kid — when she is months old. Xariya ended up growing up with her grandmother. She is urged to work at her very inexperienced age to help her and her grandmother live.

"Your grandmother is fine," Prince Silas confided her with an assuring look.

"Where did you send her?" Xariya needs to get notified of where her grandmother is. She wants confirmation that her grandma is more prudent than her. Not to mention that her grandmother was forced to live in the town of Knight in a small cottage together with its servant. Prince Silas is real to his words. The Prince behaves what he asserts and not only enormous of commitments.

Prince Silas wasn't able to answer her question rapidly. He knows that Xariya would blast up when she would heed that her grandmother was inside the town of Knight. Town of Knight was like a threat to them.

"I sent her in the safest place where you doesn't have to worry about anymore," Prince Silas solely said that made Xariya shut. Alright, she persuaded herself and didn't ask furthermore.
