A little black cat passed down the halls, a cat so quiet and modest. Just like that man.
That man who always stays quiet; He never talks to anyone.
He is quite normal for the most part.
If only he doesn't have the grin of a cat, a cat so cunning. A cat that looks so pure anything it wants can make you act with only the use of a single meow.
Antoinette Addeline the peaceful black cat of the class. He grins yet never talks. He is beautiful yet people are frightened. His skin is like clay brown, skin as soft as your pillows at night and smooth as porcelain.
Melodies of harps and flutes love him very much. Each part of him is what would they say pure gold.
Eyes are the color of honey, freshly picked and eyelashes curved like a wave in the sea. Lips are perfectly carved, plump with a hint of the color of a dark red rose.
He always goes at the back of the school, near the apple trees, in the pond of fairies per say. Shining and dazzling waters complements the dark muted colors of the trees. The man would spend his days there. People and I myself do not know why, but we just let him be in his peaceful space.
Everyone would gushed around wondering what he is doing behind the school. Humans are just pure curiosity vultures in nature.
Every time someone would check on him he would not be there.
No trace of him will be found, he is a very mysterious man and everyone loved it.
Tales of his name would circle around the campus, people would wait for his next move it was like everyone was watching him. A big great entertainer he is, one glance at one of his audience would make them swoon. A man who would have the spotlight just for himself and everyone who sees him is his dear prisoner.
Everyone knows him with just seeing a glimpse of his signature circular glasses matched with silky blouses. The sleeves would flow perfectly in his sharp edged arms. He has many variations of this look; last Monday people saw him with a beige sweater on top of a silky white blouse complementing the rainy weather. Seemingly looking like the sun that day. And then this Saturday we saw him with the black shirt with a coat on top of it.
'He is very great isn't he!' is the words people would spout down the halls.
'He is very beautiful just like what the folks in my room would say!' Some would use these words too.
It differentiates between people to people.
But I just won't believe it, it sounds so...fiction like. I have saw him but with just only one look. I have never saw his face only his curly jet black hair. And his eyes are always covered with those circular glasses it was hard to look by. To confirm those silly tales I must see him closer.
Is he really kind?
Is he really beautiful just like how I heard?
I do not know....
As for that thought I immediately removed it right away. Being interested in someone else's life is something i didn't expect that I would do.
A breath of satisfaction came out of my mouth forgetting everything I have thought about. I stand up and move along to proceed in my peaceful life.
Squeaks of birds felt like bells while walking through the halls. Cold weather embraced my whole body. Spring is yet to come and winter is still packing away their coldness it seems. Swirls of air continued to dance around. They enter at a very slow pace, from the windows its their door to come in.
A pump of steam float around as I walked. Swirls of wind didn't bother if people are being affected, they are just so carefree. I wish I was like them, freely dancing everywhere not a single thought in mind.
My hand turned slippery it seems my books run down my hands like silk. Classes of Botany is awaiting for me, time is running ~hoop ditty di hop hop~ I really need to hurry!
Clock is striking further and further and the finish line is my classes designated time. A turn and another is what I did students around me started looking at their watches and finally going inside their class in unison just like ants.
The dancing winds suddenly came to a halt and they watch me go. Interrupted with the sudden stop of dancing they took interest in me. They followed me maybe thinking that we are having a race. They kept up one seemingly faster than the other but they couldn't outrun me, they just run behind my back.
The clock mercilessly looked at me, it does not have a face but still look very mischievous. The time still kept going not letting me pass.
Oh how cruel Mr. clock! I thought but he just kept running forward the golden numbers attached to it is seemingly looking at me too.
My shoes helped me though. Black shoes slipping and gliding through the halls.
Then I got to a full stop, the wind is quite pissed it seems because it left and never came again. The clock is now smiling at me saying that I am fully late.
I open the door my head down low...
"I am deeply sorry sir" A few people stopped writing to look at me. Some stand from their seats and there are soft whisper everywhere.
I was confused why? Why did the people stand up??
Is it a rare occurrence to see a person late? I guess it is now based on their looks.
"Ehem..." Loud and gruff, the voice echoed the room. The bearded man looked at me "Mr. Addeline and Mr. Tuffin is surprisingly late for class..." My head turned a round a man tower before me. He looks youthful and wears his regular circular glasses. He wears a white shirt and a cardigan sweet green in color on top today. With soft black pants to match.
"Mr. Tuffin please go to your designated seat..." "Oh yes sir!" I said fixing the books in my hand. I took a seat with a girl possibly the same age as me. She has a circular face, skin looks like sand white yet with a touch of pink. Her hair is tied is a lose ponytail, eyes are the color of acorns in fall.
From my view she seems like a nice person.
"What are you looking at?" She asked her eyes opened blank in nature. She must be offended from the reaction...uncomfortable perhaps or maybe she thinks I am some sort of jerk or something. I do not know but I hope its none of those above.
"Oh...uhmm..nothing well its because." I got something from my bag and pull out my sketch book. I really love drawing pretty things and this is the best time to use it as an excuse for what I have done.
"I just really think...you are pretty and wanted to ask you if it's okay to draw you?" I asked sweat on my cheeks.
Please take this dumb excuse I do not want to accused as a pervert.
"Oh...Well I guess so." She said smiling her lips are very thin when she smiles. "The name is Annie Gruff you can call me Ann or Annie whichever....you prefer." She said holding out her hand for me to shake. "Oh uhm..James Tuffin at your service." I said shaking her hand.
A fairy suddenly came in to her eyes giving it a spark. It twinkled like diamonds it's very pretty
THUCK!!
"MR. TUFFIN MS. GRUFF PAY ATTENTION!" Mr. Madcarp shouted at us directly. I rubbed my head that is recently thrown by a chalk.
He always like to throw things at his student during classes there is this one time where he have thrown a text book at Matilda Samuels who was sleeping at class but too bad it didn't got close to her one bit.
So she haven't woke up so as for punishment he gave her a report to accomplish till the next day. Some may say its too cruel but as for our teacher's eyes he was not fazed, it was simply a form of discipline of the elder.
I cannot understand why they need to use such acts for a child to obey, but who am I to know. I am still at an age where I could explore more, its not good to stick into one ideal.
But I just can't help but know?
It is hard to understand why do we need to learn such things as algebra or the history...We do not need to know things that, happened in the past or if this number is the square root of this number, if I want to be a magician in the future!
I guess it could help me in a way...But forcing me to learn page after page after page. What would I do with that? I would someday die and all of that will be useless.
I just need to obey...
I cannot go and tell to mother and say that 'Mother I do not want to learn' Oh my if I said that to her she would be furious.
I glanced at Anne she was listening but eyes are not so full of attentiveness. A sigh slipped through my mouth, I am very tired and my throat is dry as an old well. Tapping of a pen, scratches of the ink spreading to the paper and the flipping of thick pages where heard.
I still need to do well in school, I need to pay attention to repay mother and father they have done so many things for me to live. And this is the only thing I could give them for now. Disobeying is a thing I would never want to do.
I shall just do this as a form of thankfulness. I stretch my arms up in the air, my back aching from sitting for too long. If I could have this time for my self I would most likely just paint, in a big room giving me a shelter and a glossy window giving me light to see the big canvas in front of me. The thought of the brush being dipped on the paint feels nice. A stroke then another will be very pretty. Dark colors of red and brown as base mix it with bit of blue and it will be a dark purple. Putting the shade in their designated areas, the dark purple placed in the jaw line. A sharp stroke how beautiful.
The brush then is suddenly dipped under water, the colors swirl underneath the blues and reds erupt into this beautiful pop of colors. It sways as I scatter my brush to remove excess paint.
And then repeat, shades of blue, white, red, yellow, and every color you could ask for is mixed to make this beautiful portrait.
A lady so youthful sits on a chair, she is holing a bird cage next to her and smiles lovingly at it.
What a wonderful sight if I could only afford the supplies.
I sighed and proceed to take down notes for me to review later.
In class our teacher talked about exotic plants that I have never seen before. They are all remarkable in their own ways one of my favorites is the Hooker's lips the plant looks very nice. It looks like your aunties lips in every single birthday parties.
I just thought it was very funny yet beautiful to look at. Especially the name it was so weird and at the same to time it's very funny.
I was holding back my laughter just by thinking about it. I was about to burst and if I do I knew it would cause me trouble, we are talking about Mr. Madcarp here.
I covered my face with a book to hold my laughter. Anne looked at me baffled at the sight. "What are you doing?" She whispered eyebrows stitched together in confusion.
I just smiled at her cheeks flushed from holding back. And then the bell signaled the end of our class there I erupted into a chuckling maniac. I do not know why I was just happy.
And if I do say that the plant is funny looking no body would understand my humor. I felt like an old man laughing at an old joke.
I quietly laughed yet it seems like it was loud enough for the sound to scatter into echoes. A tear of joy came out of my eyes. Anne still couldn't understand what is happening yet she laughed along. "You look really stupid right now." She said smiling at me, I mean could I say anything against that? No no at all.
I glanced over to my side to see a man looking at me. Oh Antoinette....wait what....??
The boy looked at me also smiling...I stopped laughing and looked at him. Strangely enough he doesn't look away. uhhhhh.....I do not what to say.
His sharp eyes looked at me deeply...it scared me. A smile was given and he took his books leaving the room.
"Bro that was intense..." Anne said appearing from behind the scene which gave me goosebumps. "Yeah..." What is that mans problem.
"Well then would you like to draw me or....what?" She said fetching her stuff ready to go "Oh yeah sure!" I picked up my stuff in a hurry "Let's go to the grotto they have snacks there do you want anything my treat?" The girl said fetching up her bag, ready to leave.
"Yeah sure!" I rushed picking up everything needed and left.

Little did I know that after this day I, James Tuffin will be involve in the murder of Joseph Campbell.
If only I haven't met this man, surely I would have became an artist and live a peaceful life but I guess not...
My whole life as a canvas is now stained with the color red. Dark splatters all around...
"HEAD LINES STUDENT KILLED AN HONOR STUDENT OUT OF JEALOUSY!!"
Crowds...
Flashes of light around me...
The sound of shattering cameras...
People...talking...
It's so...noisy
