Chapter 31 - K-ki-kiss

The moment Tristan's hand cupped hers as she held the knife, Liliana froze with her heart hammering hard as she felt that tingling sensation traveling from her lungs down to her stomach, and as if dancing in her stomach, she felt hot.

Liliana was dumbstruck for a while and didn't move while Tristan enjoyed that he made a lot of effect on her. Which means she hasn't been this close to any man.

With her hair touching the surface of his chest that was covered with the black shirt. She tried to move her head and look at him but was confined by her feelings and the sensation surging through her. "Ah. . . Tris-tan. . .Um," Liliana stammered quietly. They were friends but not this type of friendship they shared.

Tristan understood her and had the urge to tease her more by wrapping her belly and pressing his hard body on hers gently and calmly but he slid away and rested his opened palm on the counter.

When he left her back, the heat that was slowly germinating between the two of them diminished and she sluggishly glanced at him with her cheeks turning red.

Liliana's heart beating rate was just returning to normal and when she sighted Tristan's intense obsidian eyes staring at her. She stopped breathing and then. . . "Ahh!" Liliana had forgotten she was holding a knife and it cut her. Swiftly after the cut, she released the knife and curled up her index finger which was the finger that got hurt. Liliana began to blow the cut still curling the finger.

Tristan insisted he sees it but she stiffened the curl and was afraid to see the cut. Liliana shook her head.

"Let me just see it Liliana, stop acting like a child. You are a doctor for chrissake," Tristan hit her with the truth. If it happens to a child, being a doctor she'll persuade the child or any patient to release the hold so it could get treated.

Liliana released her finger from her clench and she blew it because it stings. "It stings," she complained and the next moment, Tristan covered her finger that was dripping blood with his mouth and sucked it gently.

Liliana was too shocked and could only stare. She never knew Tristan could be this caring. She stared at his face as she felt that tugging sensation at the pad of her finger that felt so good.

Tristan avoided her gaze because he would be attracted to her again, so, after a few seconds. He released her finger.

Liliana didn't look at her finger, though she didn't feel the pain anymore, she curled up the finger again. Before she could order Tristan to cut the onion, he had already picked up the knife so she left him.

Still, in deep thought with her heart making funny sounds, Liliana checked the water she boiled and she called Tristan over to watch what she does. The moment he came closer, her heart and body began to react in a way she doesn't seem to understand.

What's wrong with her?

Liliana explained how he'd boil the noodles and fry them, when she checked the onion, she saw he cut them well this time. He was a pretty fast learner. All this while, Liliana used her finger freely that she had forgotten she had a cut earlier.

Eventually, they finished cooking and began to clean. Liliana cleaned the counter and stove while Tristan washed the pots and items they used in cooking.

As he was busy with that, Liliana watched him and began to wonder. The Tristan that once told her how good he feels whenever he hurts her is now the Tristan that cares for her. Why? What changed? Is he perhaps in love with her as Raquel use to say about men changing?

Liliana shook off those thoughts, he was that way because he was on the mission of being nice to her because he needed her mercy. After some time, their gazes met.

Liliana faked a smile and took the served noodles to the living room. Liliana was playing with the teddy bear, seated on the floor by the couch when Tristan arrived. He sat on the floor with her.

"Thanks to you, I already know how to make noodles," he said as he picked up the chopsticks and handed Liliana one.

Liliana glanced at him. "What do you know how to cook anyway?" She asked as she planted the chopstick in the noodles. She had forgotten about her cut because there wasn't any pain there.

"Noodles," Tristan replied and planted the noodles he packed inside his mouth.

Liliana shook her head as a sign of disappointment.

"Men aren't supposed to know how to cook, that's a woman's job," Tristan debated. Liliana scoffed and drank water.

"What? That's a stupid rule," she stated. "My dad cooks for your information."

Tristan recalled what happened that night and... "That's your dad, not all men," he said.

"Okay, okay but what about you? Don't you want to know about cooking now?"

"I'll learn if you teach me," Tristan couldn't believe he could have a simple and light conversation with Liliana without adding any sexual discussion and it's a little fun but he was still craving her. He wondered how she'd taste in bed. Those thoughts still wandered in his mind anytime he sighted her thighs.

"How much are you willing to pay for the tutorial then?"

"I'll kiss you as much as you want."

Liliana froze for a moment when she heard that and then, she swallowed before staring at him with those big eyes. "There you go again," she said with her heart racing. Why do her heart and body react this way when he talks or reacts in a way that awakens her mind?

"Isn't that enough payment, anytime you wanna taste my lips, it's available and besides, I'm so handsome," he leaned closer.

He was right, he was so handsome, which girl wouldn't wish for a kiss with him? She was staring at his face avoiding his eyes and lips but Liliana's eyes drifted to his lips which were so hungrily sweet. Liliana cleared her throat and lowered her gaze. Her ear was burning, and her body was!

"Or should I kiss you now?" Tristan asked.

"No," Liliana replied immediately. When she noticed her response was kind of weird. "No, I don't. . .want a k-ki-kiss," she gazed at him and then drank water.

Liliana was burning up, and then Tristan leaned back when he noticed he'd reached the limit. "Just kidding," he said.

Liliana didn't say a word, they ate in silence but said millions of words in their mind.

After dinner, Liliana stood up and watched Tristan stand up too. "You leaving?" He asked.

Liliana nodded and he looked down at the dishes before leading her out. "Why don't you sleep in my house?" Why can't he stop his attitude of teasing her?

Tristan received that gaze and hushed. He walked her to her doorstep. "Still want that kiss?"

"Tristan!" Liliana frowned, she knew Tristan was naughty and that would never change.

"Oh, you don't want to k-ki-kiss," he teased her and she slammed the door on his face. "Sorry," he was inside her house at this moment.

"Good night." Liliana walked past him to her room.

"The kiss is still available!" He yelled but she ignored him and pretended she never heard him.
