Liliana froze the moment she heard him call her name with that voice that makes her want to smile and then he apologized to her by saying 'I'm sorry' He even kissed her.
It was amazing because she loved the gentle kiss he gave her just now, it certainly did melt her heart and caused it to beat faster than usual. But...it still wasn't enough, she wasn't satisfied. She meant, he tortured her, her nipples! And also tried to kill her. For heaven's sake, what had she done wrong to him? Why was he so keen to make her suffer and now he thought kissing her and saying sorry would work? Oh, he was dead wrong.
Tristan thought he had succeeded in making her less upset about his behavior toward her these past few weeks. He had listened to her thoughts when she peeked at him before going to have her bath. He also didn't spy on her while she dressed up. He didn't want to disappoint her. No! Not now.
With the closeness between the both of them, Liliana slowly pushed him off and Tristan made it easier by leaning back. Had she forgiven him just like she did the other time they had their first kiss even though he had kissed her to absorb her memories? Still, that was the first kiss they shared. With hopes and not listening to her thoughts, Tristan stared at her so eager to know what she had to say and if she had forgiven him.
"What did you think?" Liliana asked, with her gaze on him. She was staring him in the eyes. Tristan sighed in his head. It didn't work. He thought girls loved to be kissed gently and softly with so many emotions involved. Well, there was no single emotion involved when he kissed her. For now, he just wanted her mercy that was all. To protect her from his father, he had to be on good terms with her, or else her anger might lead her to her grave soon because she wouldn't listen to him once he warn her.
"Huh?" Tristan spoke, now knowing that she didn't fall for it this time. Her thoughts and reaction told him that. He scratched his forehead.
Liliana laughed. "You must think that I'm that desperate to want a kiss from you and then when you say sorry, I stupidly say you are forgiven. Haaa!" She was frustrated. "So you thought kissing me would work and will devour my senses?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows.
Tristan shrugged with a smile. "Girls like kisses," was what came out of his mouth. He frustrated her more.
Liliana wanted to punch his face and beat him up like a punching bag but she kept calm. "Well, I'm not like those girls you think love kisses. And even if I do love kisses, why will I love kisses from a man..." She paused, he wasn't a man. "From a sorcerer who tried to kill me!" She was fuming and then she pushed him by the chest again. It didn't change anything.
Tristan found himself weak because her tiny push did move him. What was wrong with him? The smile on his face vanished and he threw her a stern look. Liliana returned the gesture.
"And you know what he tortured me not once but twice!" She used her finger to demonstrate.
Tristan's gaze drifted to her fingers and the next moment she pushed him again and again. "And now he thinks a kiss would make me lose my mind and forgive him so easily!" She yelled at him.
Tristan couldn't hold back anymore, he grabbed her hands and pushed her to the bed, pinning her down. Liliana stared at him in horror, what was he going to do to her now? Punish her again? Her heart was calming down slowly as they both stared at each other but when she thought of what he might do, her heart began to race again.
"What do you want to do now, Tristan?" She asked and when she opened her mouth to say out her assumptions. He covered her mouth with his palm.
"Shut up, Liliana, that's enough!" He scolded her and she bit his hand. Well, it did make an effect so he yanked his hand off and glared at her. "Don't push it too much, Liliana" he said through his devilish tone.
Liliana breathed in and tried to push him off but wasn't successful. "Get off me," she said in a commanding tone. "You want to hurt me again?" She asked sounding as if she had concluded that that was what he was up to. "Do it hurt me, Tristan, that's what you are good at, hurting people's feelings and punishing them." She paused. "Why am I acting like I'm new to this?" She looked away saying to herself. She was still underneath him.
"I'm not hurting you, okay?" Tristan cleared her concluded assumptions. She glanced at him with creased eyebrows and looked away again. "I just want you to forgive me."
She now stared at him. "Oh, so now you care about my opinion, okay what if you had succeeded in killing me then, how will you ask for forgiveness? Come with flowers to my grave and say. Liliana, I'm sorry, I wished I never killed you and wish you are still here with me. Or maybe you'll bring me out of the grave and kiss me? Huh? I'm curious to know," she glared at him with widened eyes.
Tristan smiled after imagining what she said just now. "But I didn't kill you because I couldn't get myself to kill you."
Liliana's stern look lost a little strength and she lowered her gaze.
"Do you even know how hard it is for me to apologize to you, I mean I've never said sorry to anymore but you," he told her but she didn't believe him.
"I don't know, now get off me, I have somewhere to be." She rolled over and then stood up and grabbed her bag.
"Where are you going?" He asked still on her bed but seated. Liliana didn't give him a reply. She just walked out.
The moment she reached her door entrance, she found Tristan standing there already. She was about to speak but he went closer to her. "I just want you to forgive me," he told her.
Liliana sighed. "Okay, why did you try to kill me? If I know the reason, I may now think of forgiving you," she told him.
Tristan thought of a lie. "Because you know who I am, that I'm a sorcerer. I thought you'd..."
Liliana stared at him. "So you don't trust me,"
Tristan didn't want to make things worse by saying he trust nobody because he didn't. "No, it's not like that. You might get too excited and tell people about me and once people find out, I don't know what will happen to me that's why I planned to...to," he shouldn't complete that statement. He needed her mercy and lying to her would earn him that. Even if it was the wrong way. He got to do what he got to do.
Liliana went into deep thought, well, he kind of had a point because she was already on the verge of telling people about him. But she wasn't accepting his apology, he had to apologize greatly. She requested that. Liliana lifted her gaze about to speak when her phone rang.
The screen showed that it was Andrew calling. Liliana answered the call and to her surprise, he told her that he was by the gate to her house. She left Tristan standing there and went out to see him standing by his car with his phone placed next to his ear. And when they both sighted each other, he dropped his phone and waved.
Liliana returned his gesture with a smile. She was about to leave when she was tugged back by Tristan. With that glary face, she yanked her hand off and locked the door before approaching Andrew. That was why he needed her to forgive him or else she would kill herself.
