Chereads / THE FIRST RAIN (BL) / Chapter 37 - BALCONY

Chapter 37 - BALCONY

Leansei Yawin was washing the dishes with Corshe, who was wearing rubber gloves made out of synthetic rubber, while Lean was washing off all suds and residue.

"Gavin," Corshe called him while scrubbing the plates and looked behind him, cautiously glancing around to see if there was someone near them.

"Hmm?" Lean answered as he rinsed off the plates given by Corshe.

"What if you go to Levous City and find out why you transmigrate into Kean's body?" Corshe said, quietly.

Leansei Yawin thought of it. It may be the last time he will be able to see them, to laugh, have fun, and talk to them since there is a huge possibility that he may be able to go back to his previous life. Somehow, this pensive thought makes him feel desolate.

"Yeah, I guess that's the way. " He uttered it with a low, glum voice.

Corshe was perturbed by Lean's gloomy voice.

Leansei Yawin and Corshe averted their attention when Xeilin called them. They both turned their heads towards each other's direction confusedly.

"Do you need help? So we can start this movie. "

"Nah, we were also done." Corshe said while taking off the rubber gloves as Lean also rubbed his hand on the dry napkin and headed towards the living room, which was ignited with a frenzy atmosphere since Beidhen and Rell were bickering with each other for just choosing a simple fvcking movie.

"You haven't chosen yet?" Corshe asked as he grabbed his favorite chips and sat on the floor, but Leansei Yawin saw his phone flickering from the table, causing him to pick it up.

"Ask them." Revin said, gesturing to the two idiots who are simultaneously and annoyingly loud.

Leansei looked down, gave a deep breath before turning off his phone. He couldn't have thought that this very day would come in a situation that he needed to leave as early as he had never anticipated. He was mortified of desiring to stay from the life, friends and family that did not belong to him in the first place. He never thought that this day would come promptly.

' But I can't be heedless and egocentric. This is Kean's life, and I'm just a pest who had the miracle of living in this wonderful and amazing existence. I have to leave them, so Sei! Do what you need to do before regretting a foolish decision. '

"Gavin." Corshe called him, but Leansei Yawin was perturbed by his own thoughts. "Hey, Gavin!" Corshe called him again while tapping his shoulder.

He came back to reality as he glanced at Corshe and asked, "Y-yeah? Why?"

"Since these bastards were too raucous. We decided that you should be the one to choose among those movies from the screen. " Corshe said as he munched his favorite chips.

"Who are you calling bastards?" Beidhen said, while frowning.

"I'm not a bastard--" Rell was cut off when Xeilin gave him a serious gaze that unconsciously made him shut his mouth.

"I'm not really good at movies. Why not you decide?" Leansei said with a fake laugh. Corshe nodded his head and took the remote as he chose a movie with an amazing and interesting movie poster.

Leansei Yawin, along with Corshe, Revin, and Xeilin, are sitting on the floor, whereas behind them are the annoying ones who are resting comfortably on the soft couch.

' Guess who decided that? Of course it's me. I can't let Perial sit on the floor, and they are my guests. '

Lean insisted on sitting on the floor while the three of them insisted as well. The arrangement was purely out of the ordinary.

Leansei Yawin hasn't tried watching movies with friends because he is a crew member from the cinemas from his part-time jobs, and he can't watch it until the end of time due to his work.

He presumed that he could not spend the money on one day's duration of happiness. In short, he is stingy and a very miserly person. He just can't take the risk of spending money for nothing unless it's for daily needs and academic purposes.

He started to enjoy watching it for the first time in his life while eating the chips that were offered by Revin. Xerchin Kayvin glances at him throughout the entire period of the movie. He was somewhat enjoying looking at him instead of the movie itself.

.

Leansei Yawin stretched his arms and looked at Corshe, "He is definitely in love with him."

"But maybe the main focus of the story is fighting the monsters rather than his sexuality and love life." Xeilin said while turning off the TV screen.

"I think he just couldn't take the risk." He said this while finishing the chips he had been eating since the movie started.

"All I think is that this probably has season 2." Perial stated while scrolling through her phone.

"You know what I think--" Beidhen was cut off when Corshe smacked the pillow at him.

"You slept through the entire time of the movie! I presume you don't even know the main characters' names? " Corshe said, putting his hands into his waist like a grumpy old grandfather. Meanwhile, Beidhen clutched the pillow that was hurled at him.

"I know the names! I-its.. yes! It's Roberto!" Beidhen said, with a teasing tone.

"Alright, alright. It's already past midnight. We should sleep now. We still have early morning classes." Xeilin said, while looking at his wrist watch.

All of them agreed as everyone helped clean up all the mess they made, and this time Beidhen and Xerchin were the ones who washed the dishes. Purely, Beidhen was forced.

"We'll wash the dishes this time. You can go prepare for the night." Xerchin said while putting on the rubber gloves.

"Wash well, brother--" Before he couldn't even finish his phrase, he was pulled by Xerchin towards the sink.

"Wai-wait, you mean 'WE' means you and I??!" Beidhen asked hysterically.

"Yes, brother." Xerchin said, expressionless as he turned to the sink.

"We don't even wash our dishes at home!" Beidhen uttered, complaining.

"Say no more, brother, and finish this."

.

Leansei Yawin closed his eyes to sleep since Corshe was comfortably sleeping beside him; sleeping like a log. But Leansei couldn't sleep because his spirit was wide awake, as if he wasn't tired at all after the events of the day.

But it might also be from another reason, which is that the guy is sleeping on the floor with a thick blanket pillow and a soft thin mattress near down beside his bed.

Since the arrangement is clearly biased. Beidhen immediately decided to sleep with Revin, while Rell also agreed that he could sleep with Xeilin. That leaves Xerchin and Corshe to sleep in Leansei's room.

Leansei Yawin slowly glances at Xerchin, who is peacefully dashing with his eyes closed. Xerchin Kayvin has messy hair, a very attractive and good-looking face along with his pointy nose and red kissable lips.

That's what every girl desires.

Leansei was in deep pondering when a memory flashed in his mind.

---------

"What if you go to Levous city and find out why you transmigrate into Kean's body?"

---------

' I also have no choice but to leave you.. all of you. This is the life that doesn't belong to me. But is it an immoral act to desire a life that isn't mine? Can't I desire to stay with.. ' Leansei Yawin distressingly looked at Xerchin with pitiful eyes.

' you. ' He could feel the tightening from his heart trampling his chest, ramming and squishing.

He lay down, facing the ceiling, and decided to hushedly climb out of the bed. He ambled towards the balcony and closed his eyes to embrace the chilly breeze on his face and fragile body.

He opened his eyes and stared at the beautiful night sky.

"Can't sleep?" Leansei flinched as a chill ran down his spine. At the same time, the heartbeat in his chest began to beat rapidly all of a sudden when he heard a familiar voice.

He looked behind him as a pair of blue eyes were intently looking directly at him. Leansei Yawin immediately glanced away as he just felt the cold breeze from the balcony.

"Auhh.. freezing." Leansei murmured to himself. A little bit quavering due to the chilly wind. "You can't sleep too? We were overly frenzied earlier---"

He halted when he felt the soft quilt that Xerchin Kayvin gently covered his body. He suddenly looked at him, flabbergasted. He immediately turned his face away since his cheeks started to redden.

"T-thank you," he uttered stutteringly as he tightly held the blanket to cover his body. It somewhat helps to at least feel less cold than earlier.

"Are you okay?" Xerchin asked on the spur of the moment.

' Did he notice it? I'm not being obvious, am I? '

"O-of course, why won't I be okay?" Leansei Yawin, he uttered with a spurious chuckle. "Arent you cold?" He asked, trying to change the topic.

"I'm used to it."

There was a moment of silence between them that he could no longer take and broke the silence.

"What's your dare?" Leansei asked suddenly. He glanced at him with a look of befuddlement. "I mean.. I heard Perial when we were at the door. She said the last person who asked a question, that person would be the one to dare the loser." Leansei said, wandering his eyes around since he couldn't look at Xerchin directly in his eyes. Especially with his fragile and unstable heart beating like a crazy person in the act of having a cardiac arrest.

In a matter of a few seconds before Xerchin decided to answer, "I don't have a dare right now, but I'll dare you once I think of one."

Leansei Yawin frowns, "That's not fair. It should be today as well."

"How is it not fair? When it's just a dare. "

"It's not fair that you get to decide when to dare me. "

"Well, it's not my fault that you lost."

"It's clearly a biased and inequitable game."

"It's not me who decided to join." Xerchin said, that made him glare at him. "It's also unfair if you frown like that."

"How is it unfair? Did you lose your face? clearly not. " Leansei said, crankly. He still can't figure out why he has short-term patience whenever he talks to him. It's either just a small or very teensy-weensy argrument.

"Then if I ever think of one. It would be easy to dare. Can that be a deal?" Xerchin asked with a different tone.

Leansei Yawin furtively curved his lips, and he immediately looked tough, trying to hide his jovial face. "I guess we are settled."

"Are you still mad at me?" Xerchin asked forwardly.

Leansei thought of it.

' It doesn't matter now if I am mad at you or not. The fact that I have to leave soon and the fact that I'm also lying to you doesn't make me the right person here. That makes us even. But I can't tell you, never in this life. '

"Who cares?" Leansei said, laughing it off.

"I do." Xerchin said, with a serious tone and a glum face.

"Just be happy. I'm also happy with your engagement. You don't have to worry about the awkwardness in our group. I don't feel that way anymore. " Leansei said, and he were about to walk past him.

"What feeling?" Xerchin asked, concerned and anxious.

He halted and looked down at the ground. He couldn't respond or explain what he meant. Nothing matters as far as he is concerned; all he needs to do is spend time with them.

"We should sleep. We need energy for tomorrow's rehearsals." Leansei said and walked towards the bed and climbed on it as he removed his eye glasses and place it on the nearby table lamp. He turns his body facing Corshe, who is sleeping well as he closes his eyes, trying to fall sleep.
