Xerchin cast a glance at what Leansei was looking at. He immediately let go of Lean's hand and looked away. They could feel the awkward tension between them.
"Why were you avoiding me?" Xerchin asked from the sunlight of the dawn that was almost evening. Leansei couldn't bring himself to speak. He was feeling conflicted deep in his heart and the thick walls he had built for years.
Xerchin looked at him when Lean's eyes sparkled from the reflection light, the eyes that were too beautiful to look at, and at the same time, he felt a piercing in his heart, knowing it was a sparkle from mucin and lipid glands.
Leansei clenched his fist when he couldn't utter a word. Now he materialized from the days he avoided him. He also can't figure out himself, what's going on in his mind and especially in his heart.
It is not the first time he felt this, but it is the first time he acted this way and how unstable his heart beats a million times whenever he sees him, talks, or even their skin nudges against his.
But the thing is, there's much more reason why he should find it out.
"Hey--" Xerchin raised his hand to reach him, but Lean cut him off.
"Were you planning to tell me?" Leansei asked with a serious tone yet on the edge of a trembling voice.
Xerchin slowly put his hand down and looked down at the ground. Lean managed to look at him with a tight clenched fist.
"I--you knew?" Leansei chuckles unbelieveably and looks at the ceiling to halt the feeling and the watering of his lipid glands. Leansei couldn't determine why he felt devastated all of a sudden.
"Look, I can--" Leansei cut him off once more.
"You weren't going to tell me at all??" Lean asked,
"No-- I'm gonna tell you myself--"
"When?! when I figure it all out? When the truth lies beneath me, When I saw it with my own eyes??"
Xerchin hushedly shook his head and tried to reach him, but Leansei moved backwards as he was looking at Xerchin with a knotted forehead.
Xerchin closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"Look, let me construe--" Leansei chuckled and glanced at the wide glass wall that allowed him to see the beautiful view along with the setting down of the sunset.
Leansei stared at it as he tried to compress the affliction he was feeling inside. It was much more torture when a scenario came into his mind.
________
They walked quietly as they passed through the nearby park. It was wide and extremely large. It has benches to sit on, a garden, a playground, exercise equipment, and it has a lake beside it.
Since the sun comes down now, the sunset was too beautiful to ignore. The fresh cold breeze brushing their skin, the swirl of rust leaves blowing on the ground, the sound of dancing trees and the cheep of the birds make things enchanting and beautiful.
"The sunset is so beautiful." Leansei said with a jovial voice as he looked at the beautiful sunset.
A few seconds passed before Xerchin was able to respond, "Yes, it is." A warm xerchin tone caused Leansei to turn his head towards him. He was dazed as he saw him staring at him instead of the beautiful sunset.
They immediately divert their faces from each other, and the tension of awkwardness rises in the atmosphere between the two.
The rusted leaves and the waves of the trees are the only things you can hear. Leansei took his phone out and started capturing the beautiful view instead.
"What are you doing?" Xerchin asked.
"The view is too beautiful. I can't help it but to capture it. " Leansei said as he continuously clicked his phone on the camera. Xerchin stared at Leansei for a few seconds before taking out his phone too and starting to capture two photos.
Leansei glanced at Xerchin, who immediately put his hand down. "You're capturing too?" Leansei's voice crackles with amusement, since he never thought that Xerchin was that kind of guy. He thought that he only knew how to be mysterious and serious all the time.
_________'
This feels like deja vu. ' Leansei said in his mind. "We watched the sunset for the first time on that glorious day, and who knows if this is the last time I'll watch it with him."
"This feels like deja vu, right?" Leansei asked while staring at the sunset. Xerchin glanced at what he was referring to and looked back at Leansei just like he did back then.
"I recalled." Xerchin said and looked at his front pocket where he had put his phone. "Look, I was planning--"
"And this may be the last time." Leansei said as he glanced back at Xerchin with gloom in his eyes. Xerchin was taken back and was unable to utter a word, trying to process what Lean said.
"Let's go back to being strangers again and pretend that you and I never existed." Leansei said, and looked down as he tried to walk past him. But Xerchin blocked his way with a serious and dominant look.
"What did you say? Can't you let me construe first? "
Leansei clenched his fist and grabbed Xerchin's collar, looking up at him since he was taller than him. "I dont wanna see you again. So do as I say. " A trembling voice from him. "Everything is pellucid to me. Get out of my way or i'll punch your face. "
Xerchin looked at Leansei with full sadness in his eyes as he gently held his hand and took a deep breath. "Just listen to me and I'll let you decide. I won't block your way or even stop you from walking away."
Leansei looked at him and let him go as he tried to calm himself. "There is no need to explain any further. We're not even friends to begin with. " He said and walked past him, but Xerchin gently held his wrist to stop him from walking away.
"I can explain--" They both stopped and glanced at the door when it creaked open and Seleigh was behind those doors, walking out of the room. She stopped, surprised to see an awkward and tense moment between the two.
Leansei halted as he saw Seleigh looking at them; rather, Xerchin's hand on him. Leansei felt embarrassed and guilty. He shoved Xerchins' hand away from him and glanced at Seleigh.
"We're just talking. I better go inside now. " Leansei said with a calm voice as he walked into the room.
He gasped for air when he walked inside the room with tumultuous voices.
Corshe was busy eating macarons when he saw Leansei walking towards the table. He immediately walked over to him with a small plate in his other hand.
"What took you so long?" Corshe asked while following Leansei. He stopped talking when he saw a combination of pissed and devastated looks on Leansei's face.
"Something came up. Try to cover for me." Leansei said as they approached Mrs. Ferech, who was joyously talking with Mrs. Colazs, Rineah, and Corshe in their fancy dress.
Mrs. Ferech glanced at her back and excused herself as she spoke to her son with a worried yet happy smile on her face. The three madame smiled as they saw a perfect family. (At least, that's what they thought)"What's the matter, son?"
Mrs. Ferech asked. Corshe glanced at Leansei and her aunt. "Are you not enjoying it?" "I'm kinda
not feeling well, can i--"
"What?? Should we just--"
"No, I feel fine, M-m-mom."
Leansei couldn't look her in the eyes because he wasn't fully and comfortably the fact he was the mother of the body he had transmigrated to.
Leansei glanced at his side when Xerchin and Seleigh came inside the room. Corshe looked at him with concern.
"Tita, I think Gavin wants a quiet pace." Corshe said, and walked beside him.
Mrs. Ferech looked at Leansei and Corshe and nodded her head in understanding of the situation. Mrs. Corshe put her hand into Mrs. Ferech's shoulder.
"Let them, sis, since it is time for the private meeting among the parents." Mrs. Corshe said with a kind smile on her face as she looked at her son and at Leansei.
"I agree. They should go to the rooftop and we'll go behind them. " Mrs. Rineah said, in her fancy branded vintage fan, swaying slowly.
Mrs. Ferech glances towards her husband, who is looking at them along with Felean. They excused themselves and walked towards them.
Mr. Ferech came forward, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her forehead. "What's wrong, hon?"
"Our son needs a quiet time. He just got out of the hospital, hon." Mrs. Ferech said, looking worriedly into his face.
Leansei put his head down as he felt the dagger look from Mr. Ferech and his lovely, annoying brother. "I think he is okay now, but if that's what you want, let's go with it." Mr. Ferech said, and smiled at his wife.
"What a lovely family." Mrs. Rineah said, as Mrs. Corshe nodded in response."Felean
, go with your brother. If something happens, call us, okay?" Mrs. Ferech said that Felean had no choice but to nod his head in response.
"I can do it alone, no need to bother them." Leansei said.
Mrs. Corshe shook her head and held Leansei's shoulder. "It's fine, I know my son is also bored with mature and adults around him."
"And it is also time for our private meeting, so you should go up to the rooftop." Mrs. Rineah said with a kind look.
They glanced behind them when an intimidating voice approached. Leansei looked down and clenched his fist when he heard that familiar voice. He stepped aside when Mr. Xin and the others came forward. "What's going on here?" he asked.
"We think that we should let our sons and daughters go to the rooftop before us." Mr. Ferech said.
Mr. Xin nodded his head as Xerchin, Beidhen, Seleigh, and Rivinah came towards them. He glanced at Leansei, who was looking down at the floor.
"Indeed, all our sons and daughters should go to the rooftop. Xerchin, go with them with your brother. " Mr. Xin said, as Leansei felt a dagger look from Mr. Xin.
Leansei and Corshe walked towards the door. Corshe regarded Leansei with concern. We can ditch this. I mean, if you're not comfortable, I'll cover for you." Corshe said.
Leansei slowly shook his head with a deep breath. "I'll bring humiliation to my family's image. Lets just go along with it." Leansei said.
Lean flinched as he felt a familiar arm clinging around his neck. He glanced at it and it was Beidhen with his annoying smirk.
"What are you doing?" Leansei asked. Beidhen smirked even more and looked at him down.
"You didn't miss me? Aren't we more than friends?" Beidhen said, with a tease tone. Leansei groused and frowned as he tried to remove the arm from his neck.
Corshe glance at Leansei with a surprised look. "M-more than friends??" asked with a surprised tone. Beidhen halted and looked at Corshe.
"New friend?" Beidhen asked.
"None of your business--" "We're
here." A cold voice from Xerchin as he pressed the button. Leansei shoved Beidhen's arms away and fixed his blazer when the elevator opened. Leansei's face lit up when he saw Xeilin and Revin in the elevator.
Beidhen's smirk immediately faded away and became quiet. Xerchin glanced at his brother and smirked as they walked into the elevator.
"Hey!" Xeilin greeted Corshe and Leansei. Revin looked at Leansei with a smile on his face, but his smile changed when he saw Beidhen, who was leaning on the steel holder with a Revinah beside him.
Xeilin's smile changed in an instant when he saw Seleigh looking at him. He diverted his gaze towards Leansei and Corshe.
The atmosphere became quiet and awkward.
.
The elevator opened on the 82nd floor and they walked to the back stairs as they reached the rooftop. They all gasped as they saw the beautiful view and the cold breeze touching their skins.
Leansei sparkled his eyes and walked towards the railings and smiled, wowing the view as if he was looking at the mini furniture.
"Wow it is so beautiful." Corshe said with a smile on his lips.
"I agree, it's undescribeable." Xeilin said.
Revin glanced at Leansei and smiled. "I never knew you liked these kinds of views." Leansei scoffed and let out a big sign when he remembered what he said to Xerchin.
"Is there something wrong?" Revin asked, and Xeilin and Corshe turned their heads towards him.
"You look gloomy today." Xeilin said.
"He has been like that since last week." Corshe said, while shaking his head.
Leansei didn't respond and just looked at the night sky.
"Kean." Leansei halted as he heard the voice he never wanted to hear again. But it's unavoidable.
Corshe, Xeilin, and Revin turned their heads behind their backs and glared at Tyvan, who was bothering Leansei again multiple times.
"Can't you give him space for a little while?" Corshe said, with an annoyed look. Xeilin shook his head and glanced at Leansei, while Revin glared at Tyvan.
"I have to talk to you, Kean." Tyvan insisted, disregarding the people around him. Leansei gave a deep breath again and turned his head to Tyvan.
"We don't have anything to talk about."
"But Kean--"
They came to a halt when a familiar voice approached them.
