AH... My skills are starting to look good!
Well, root manipulation is the only one that evolved in the last week though.
So I can't exactly say my 'skills', instead I should say my 'skill'.
Root growth is stuck on level 14 and sending aura through the my roots only seemed to raise root manipulation for some reason.
And while it makes sense that manipulating already grown roots would be easier than growing them from scratch ...
I now have a 'adult root manipulation' skill yet absolutely no adult roots to manipulate... So raising this skill's level is impossible.
Hmm..... Whatever, there nothing I can do about it, better focus on something else.
Like, magic.
Ah magic... So fun.... So much work.

Deservingly so.... During this last week I've not only figured out how to mix sand and wind magic in order to locate the fishes.
But I also figured out a lot of other offensive spells.
The locating spell or as i'll call it 'dust-ector magic'.
Wind, is mostly gaseous, this makes it so that it is easier to manipulate wind than sand.
Unfortunately this has the downside of making wind, in a way, more.... "Loose".
It's harder to destinguish changes to the wind than it is to sand because the wind is allways swaying and changing its form and shape.
It's simple impossible for the current me to destinguish an enemy who entered my territory from natural wind movements.
Sand on the other hand is stationary... Or at least mostly more so than wind.
If I send a pulse of mana towards the sand, I'll be able to destinguish the mana that bounces back from the sand.
This way I can make something like the Ground penetrating radar (GPR) back on earth.

The issue with this though.... Is that I'm more than 10km from the desert ground.
So I had an idea... Why not mix my sand magic with my wind magic?
And so Dust clouds where formed with both the flexibility from the wind and the stability from the sand.
Ironic given that I received unlocked elements because of a sandstorm.

I've also figured out how to use other spells in my search for a way to cross the long distance between me and the river.
And I mean long distance because it's at least 200 km away unfortunately none of the spells I figured out will help me with that.
'Dust-tractive trap' is great to defend myself, by growing roots over a certain spot and then hiding them with a cloud of dust I can make a defensive trap.
The dust hides my roots that will pump poison mana outwards in the middle of said dust.
The intruders will think that the dust is hiding a trap inside of it when in truth the dust itself is the trap.
Too bad I can only use this with teen roots because young ones wither away... In fact even the teen ones don't survive for long.
I suspect the adult ones will be able to handle them better but I need to unlock them first.
Another spell I came up with is called called 'dust burst'.
I was initially trying to improve on my spike-zooka by increasing the air pressure behind my spikes.
But then I realized that if said air pressure where to blow up inside of me I'd take serious damage.
So, I decided to make a sort of Ballon or air pump with sand, and fill it with wind.... Then I shot it with a spike at the top of it.
My initial goal was for the spike to be blow upwards if not forward... But the only thing that blew up was the sand bomb.
The spike? Completely destroyed... Which is kind of amazing given that I used the 'Spike missile' lvl 3 on it.
After I tried to blow up one of my 'instant denfence spikes'.
(A. N. the spikes created and then shoot at an near instant speed while reinforced by the spike missile skill)
It too blew up, something none of my other skills can destroy was just.... Vapurised.
Not to mention that some of the sand dust thst survived the initial air burst got shot everywhere at speeds I couldn't even see.
Excused to say... I planted this mines everywhere around me.

"I just realized something. For the last week I've been trying to increase my offensive magic range, right?"
"Yeah, I presumed that what you were doing."
"Yet.... I ended up making an exploding trap that needs me to be close so I can shot it, an poison trap that needs to be withing my root reach and a completely support focused spell."
