(A. N. I'm really not confident about my ability to make good fighting scenes as such I'll :
1-keep it short
2- come back on a later time to rewrite it)
There's no vegetation on this island.
In fact, now that I look at it, there's not even any insects.
At least not any that I can feel with my aura.
I can only presume it's the doing of the spider.
It does live in a place full of "poison mana" after all.
Well, not like I haven't thought of a way to deal with the poison though.
The issue is probably going to be its mobility, spiders unlike cactus are animals.
As such they naturally have a advantage when it comes to movement.
And given that this spider has taken over this area, it probably will have its web already laid down.
Not a favorable fight, but if it was impossible the wren wouldn't have told me about this place.
So he's probably on the same evolution as me.
That means he's not conscious yet, and that due to that he can't use his magic freely, having to relie on instincts to do so.
My best bet would be to make him come to me, but unfortunately spiders don't work like that.
I looked down and saw white starting to appear all around.
Oh. That's a web, I guess I'm close, let's see if I can find the spider.
There it is...Ooh!?
THAT THING IS HUGE!
It's still small if compared to the fire cactus, but that's me comparing a second evolution spider to what I believe to be at least a third evolution cactus.
Ones a big plant even on my world and the other's an insect.
Just how damned big it's adult form. No wonder the heavenly spider took a whole continent.
6 of its 8 legs are cyan in color and its chephalotorax and abdomen are dark blue.
The 2 front legs are purple and have sharp light purple claws that I can only assume are used for stabbing.
And....
It's looking this way. Of course it's looking this way, the thing as like what?
8 eyes? Besides if I can feel it with my aura it probably can feel me with its own.

I knew I'll would be at an disvantage if I gave it enough time to get close.
*Boom*
As such I decided to start the battle with a weak spike-zooka in order to stop its advancing or at least test the spiders speed.
The spider dodged it but I was already expecting it.
What was unexpected tough is that the spider sudently jumped at me after dodging.
It probably used a skill because one moment it was far from me and the other it was just above me.
In a fit of panic I decided to move one of my larger, stronger spikes into the path of the spider.
While simple, the strategy worked successfully penetrating through it's side.
However that was not enough to kill it, as the spider quickly made me know with one of its claws.
The claw propelled by what I can only assume was another skills stabbed through my instant made spikes.
Through the areole that found itself in front of its path and all the way to the mesophill layer where it released its poison.
My epithermis quickly started withering and yellowing out.
Seeing this the spider started laying down its guard and readying to surround me, it's pray with web.

Hmmm... This hurts less than I expected.
While it seems I can still feel touch, my sense of pain is severely weakened compared to back on earth.
Wich, given the current situation, is a good thing.
From the begginning the chances of me winning on a straight up fight where nearly zero.
In combat at least, I have a lot of disvantages.
I'm static, besides a little of wind magic which relies on my roots, I can barely move .
My magic isn't strong enough to lift this monstrosity up.
Nor are my instant spikes good enough of a protection.
And unlike my 'parent' who probably had steam related skills, my steam is soft.
Only my hardened spikes can stab through its solid Armour and I don't have a lot of those.
It's claws are sharp enough to stab through me.
And it's not like I'm the only being in this world capable of magic or skills.
Everyone is capable of doing it. Everyone has skills, everyone has classes and everyone can evolve.
That is why from the beginning I wasn't going to fight it on a straight battle.
I'm a 'parasitic cactus' not a 'independent cactus' or 'fighter cactus'.
As such I should use my strengths... Against its weaknesses.
Even from far away I could feel it's aura. It's not because it was specially powerful.
It's because this spider doesn't know how to use it. Just recently I learned that the stronger ones aura is, the less one is going to be able to feel it.
This leads us to now. My spike is staving through the spiders side. And it's claw is locked on one of my areoles.
It's stuck here with me.
Even if it desperately claws at me, I don't need my areoles to survive. As long as my steam remains intact I can survive.
In the other hand, the more desperate it gets the more stuck it'll get.
The poison is more powerful than expected but this isn't a bad thing either.
The stronger it is the higher the chances are of me unlocking poison affinity after this.
And once it gets dangerous I can just eject it out of me using my aura and mana.
Hahaha... Feel spider, the one advantage I have over this world.
A humans mind and a plants body!
